One of my favourite Jake stories was told by Ryan on a BRSTV live stream when he said they did a video of one of their tanks with lots of lobos and afterwards he got a call from Jake saying ‘those are not lobos they are Acan Pachyseptas’, Ryan said he thought Jake was just being picky about the names but then Jake said ‘no, I’m telling you this because they will kill each other’. Ryan said he walked over to the tank and the Acan Pachyseptas were eating other corals lol. RIP Jake

Nah man that guy has helped me with my reefing a lot and I wish I could’ve thanked him. We lost a true legend and it truly shocked me when I heard the sad news. :(

People must learn the scientific names eventually better start when you begin doing anything in biology, I am a biologist and landscape engineer and come from Sweden now working in the UK and if my garden center took my Swedish word for bluebell I would get something enterally different for bluebell in UK is a plant from a different family, it is like if you would order a Montipora (bluebell) and when you get to your LFS to pic it up it is a Discosoma (bluebell) and this is just to languages Swedish and English then imagen French, German and we all call it something different we will not be able to meet internationally having a discussion because my bluebell is not your bluebell and then the french is talking about a third kind of bluebell and so on and don´t be scared if you don´t know the pronunciation in Latin, that we all do differently, but it is a minor insignificant problem that is easily solved, I know Latin and still my coworkers in UK laugh WITH me when I speak but they all know exactly what plant I am talking about. And all of us that know Latin will never make fun of someone who is learning, because we have all been there. Cheers everyone!
