Thank you for all the info about artist residencies! I didn’t know there was such thing. And it’s so messed up that the Portugal residency used you to advertise, that is wrong on so many levels
I've been following your journey since your Portuguese residency, and I remember seeing you going to these ruins to crochet and being so amazed and wishing I could be there, and hearing about your residency experience... thank you for being honest and covering your experience, and this actually helps me feel more prepared.

I actually started looking into artist residencies after seeing you in Portugal. I loved the project you did there and made a tapestry for myself inspired by it. It's such a shame that they managed it so poorly, I'd be fuming if I found out they were using me as advertising 😭

I didn't even know that there was something like an artist residency was a thing. The Iceland and Canada one sound really nice and lovely. Sorry about Portugal, that sounded rough. I went to Iceland a while back and stayed in a newer building. The water still smelled like sulphur, I think their water just has a lot of sulphur.
