Here is my mid-year check in on my 2024 luxury wishlist! I’ll be talking about what’s off the list, still on, and what I’ve check marked as well.
I do touch a bit about the Dior scandal…but being honest, design wise I still really love Dior… but definitely the company as a whole has definitely lost a lot of respect… feeling very conflicted and disappointed. I actually wanted to buy three other Dior accessoires from the Dioriviera collection but after what’s been made to light will definitely be reconsidering. Let’s hope moving forward, there will be accountability and change. That is all I will say about it for now until more information is released.

I use my *gtdupe* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interio.

to be honest. If you produce at cost and remove the logo, the luxury market really isn't that expensive. The mark is about 80% of the actual price. But the fact that you are*jklux* buying an image and showing off your taste to make them think you are richer than you are is a very good thing to do.

Nothing we can do about fakes…I could care less how many people have the same bag as myself…that makes it really spoken for.. I hate when people say they don’t want a certain purse because everyone has it….well everyone has a hole are we gonna get rid of ours because of that? Everyone one does something different with their *preluxz* for example their style, your style will set you apart.

I have two pre-loved *jklux* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

HI Maggie! I just got back from Tokyo and was able to score a Goyard Artois MM. I'm so glad I took your advice and went to the other Goyard. Got there before noon and there was only 2 people in front of me in line. The SA bought out the green, black and tan and the blue for me. While I was deciding, it got super busy real fast and people trying to take my bags. 2 SA had to stop them, then a lady even ask to have the black & tan one, so I gave it to her because I decided on the green. While checking out I noticed the bottom stitching was bad, , I was so devastated because I didn't want the blue, almost cried, then my SA found a red one for me! Was so lucky to score the red one. Go early because they really have limited stock and no mini Anjou. I also bought a Dior mini book tote in Oblique at the airport. The pricing is so good! It was really cute but if I watched the video, I probably would reconsider. :( Anyways, I highly recommend getting luxury items at the Japan airport. The prices are even lower than in city and duty free.

I saved up money for a few months to buy a ZP, but it got scratched on the third day. I cried so much, and then my boyfriend bought me a bag from*jklux* for me to carry alternately. Anyway, there are so many bags on the street, so as long as others can't see it, I think it's fine. The thought is there.

A lady I work for her house worth £3-4 million and guess what. Her dup luxury brands bags are bought from *preluxz* worth £60 on the road. What l learned from her. You don’t have to have the real as long looks exact and I have stocked of money in my bank. I used to buy the real to a point realising I don’t need to waste money.

I got the *jklux* in the black/gold combo. I’m buying the tan tomorrow if it comes with the gold hardware! I have the short strap from another bag, almost the same leather, which I added to the bag and carry it with the short hand strap - it looks great - kind of like a larger version.

Hi ! Was there a time when LV Mono Vernis Perle Read PM Monogram.does not have a date code? My aunt and I were trying to authenticate an old Vernis white bag. The bag size, the monogram design is on point. even the stitches ,the color of the thread, the color of the inner lining. the lock,the hardware,the stamp,the zipper even the LV near the handle does not overlap.The only thing we noticed is that there was no date code. Accdg to my aunt that bag was given t her by her aunt in 2009 .But that *jklux* was gifted to her aunt in 1998. There is only a slight discoloration but it looks fantastic.

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. The other one is a $40 one *hotdups* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym

These women are talking about how they no longer buy authentic wallets, but instead choose to buy really good wallets *preluxz* designer bags they love. Hi Maggie!! I think you should still get your micro Djoy. From what I got from those videos it wasn’t ALL of Dior’s products being made that way but a very specific list. Strange. Still unacceptable but you could feel at ease knowing your micro Djoy wasn’t made by that dishonorable labor. Dior is also one of my favorite brands. I do feel that I will continue to buy Dior because of my love for the brand and its heritage! All of our favorite brands have been found guilty of this at some point 😢. It’s unfortunate but I do believe they will do better and I won’t write them off just yet!

@@AlefromSG hi! So they have not yet gone public with the name but it is a bag that is no longer sold! It was one bag from what we know publicly. I believe this was a careless oversight and poor management of Dior rather than dior implicitly looking for sweat shop labor as the factory it is referring to produces for a ton of brands!

@AlefromSG I wouldn't go out my way to discard anything you love if I were you. I have a suspicion it could be totes and small slgs that would be simple to make, potentially with cheaper fabrics (like nylon). But I think I did see a block for making a Lady Dior in one of the videos. I only have 3 items from the brand (including a Lady Dior), and since they've gone under the radar in my circles in the 3 years I've owned them, they'll be sticking around my wardrobe. I hope you figure out what's with your closet space❤

I have been back and forth on the Heloise vs Jodie. I like the texture Jodie adds to an outfit but it doesn't sit right on my shoulders. Then I tried the Heloise - loved the comfort but hated the way it folds when its not fully stuffed. So now I'm back on team Jodie and hoping they release it in a color that I like. I love everything else on your wishlist. I cant wait to see you unbox your dior. So excited for it!

Yes the color of the kislux is beautiful and it is a great decision, maybe one day they will add feet and straps. It would be nice to have a bigger bag during the colder months when we have to store gloves, beanies, scarves, etc…

I think it's a bit outrageous for people to be walking around a big city with a $10,000+ designer bag on their arm, you might as well hold up a "please rob me" sign. Secondly, I really don't feel sorry for these brands, they raise their prices at least twice a year, so basically they are driving any potential customers into buying fakes *gtdupe*

Fake and inferior products refer to those who sell inferior products as good ones. High-quality imitation products will never intersect with them. *gtdupe* As imitation products, they also have their own high-quality and multi-category requirements. If a woman likes to buy bags, then it is the first choice to be considered.

I have two pre-loved*preluxz* that people left the stickers on, and when you remove them, the hardware looks different than the hardware right next to it that the sticker didn’t touch. It’s not because the other has scratches, the sticky stuff affected the finish.

I heard from a much smaller youtuber that LV wasn't doing major increases this year, so I've also shelved my perfume purchase for now. Definitely Jodie over Heloise. And since you're looking preloved, you may want to look for the D-Joy on the secondhand market while you're saving up in case one comes up before you go to Dior's store

I recommended the Afternoon Swim, it’s my fave scent. You won’t regret the purchase at all and it’s perfect for the spring and summer months 😉 I use it year round though and just layer it with other scents during the fall and winter months.

I know wealthy women who carry replicas. The main reason they gave is that they just understand the value of money and don't want to spend too much money on bags... so more people choose fashionable*preluxz* bags. However, they do spend a lot of money on fine jewelry and other things.

I use my *preluxz* as a work bag and have had no issues at all. It’s a comfortable bag, fits a good amount and hadn’t lost its shape. With that being said, I also take care of all my bags and don’t carry a water bottle, pens, keys or anything that can damage the interior.

@@maggyxchuu the Brandy color is a bit dark so it doesn't show much dirt. I'm also quite careful when I use it. It's been holding up well. I've had it for more than a year now. And I think the quality is great. 😊 I think the color you have is more susceptible to dirt. Gotta be a bit more careful! 😊

So far I've crossed the Flamenco Puse and LV recto verso from my wishlist this year. For the rest of the year I want to limit myself to contemporary brands because I feel I'm missing out on other brands' creativity. I eyeing Cafune, Yuzefi, or Neous. Buuut I'm really loving the BV Andiamo Parachute. I'm not into how BV woven leather ages though?! I like ny bags kept pristine and the raw leather edges just get so gunky over time.

Ahhh, great video Maggy💖……it is very sad the information that you shared regarding Dior and LVMH’s manufacturing practices. All of my friends and clients now only purchase vintage preloved= were the bags were actually made /the actual countries Ex. France, Italy etc. [even the brand Coach always was a NYC or US made brand, my clients only buy those vintage bags, before the company outsourced] ….in the designer world, Stella is not considered high end luxury but lovely in recognizable style….also the plastic -vegan leather I am not sure how that holds up, maybe ask a telfar bag owner as well. That periwinkle bag is to die for. The one that got away, a Chanel mini in periwinkle years ago….enjoy your purchase. I love that you addressed the Dior issue, but sadly it is the world we live in, hopefully they (or their manufacturers) will do something positive about it. the fact that there’s a price increase being talked about after this expose is irony!

Perception is everything, I remember saving up for my first LV and some coworkers automatically thought it was fake because I was a young black girl. At that point I really stopped caring what people's opinions were, people will always have their opinions based on how you look. After this I shopped in *jklux* . If you drive a Bentley and get out of the car with a fake Hermès, no one will question you.

You are lucky that your thrift store has such great prices. Be all of my local thrift stores price everything as if you are shopping at Neiman Marcus. Even if the *jklux* are not real name brand. That's one reason why I don't go thrifting anymore. Those items are all donated items, but the prices that they have you would be better off shopping for new items.

A lady Dior was on my wishlist. I finally got my two classic flaps so this was going to be the year I got a lady… I’m actually glad I didn’t get it yet. I would be so embarrassed to carry it after finding out about the slave labor. Totally ruined Dior for me. I still find the bag beautiful, but to carry one would make me feel gross. People matter more than bags. I’m drawn to luxury because I *thought* they took special care of their products and crafters. Now I see Dior as just as tacky as SHEIN.

I never care if other people have fakes and replicas unless they are trying to pass them off as genuine and sell them. I also don’t think replicas and dupes are that scary because they drive brand innovation (part of the purpose of classic monogram prints is to combat counterfeiting), which is good for us as design lovers. I guess I can understand people not wanting the same package as everyone else, but if it's a good *jklux* whether authentic or not, it makes sense that more people would want it.

um yes if you like the heart motif you buy the heart, what's this nonsense about being gifted it lol have you tried on the cartier love 2 diamonds bracelet, (the one i got recently) i liked that more than the two rings for some reason, when trying them on :) good choice with going the mejuri route bc honestly there isnt anything special about that design to spend extra for the cartier or tiffany version..imo :)
