life okay he greeted me yeah Then he asked why I'm going to the US and I said Education Then he opened my I-20 and asked what I was going to study and i said Business Then since the school I'm going to is a Two university, he asked me what I wanted to do after that and I said I wanted to finish my other two years at a four year university. He then asked me which 4year Uni and I told him and he asked me if I did me research on that university and I said yes. Then he asked me who's funding my education and I said my mum and he asked me for the financial document and I gave him. Then he opened the document and asked for my mother's name and I told him. Then he asked how many other Schools I applied to and how many accepted me. I told him I applied to 3 and 2 accepted me and I picked the one I'm going to.(it's best you have variety cause if you only have one school, they'll see it as a rush to the US) Yeah then he started tyyyypppiiiinnnnnggggggg and I got approved
I actually wanted a man to interview me. But the security guy told me to stand at the lady's side. Chai. I was scared but I remained confident. My interview was scheduled for 9.30 am but I came at 7am and was allowed inside. I wasn't the first sha but coming early helped. The lady didn't smile at all. She just asked me a few questions, didn't ask to see any of my documents and then said I'm going to issue you your Visa. I was so shocked. Lol. God is good

I got my F1 visa approved this last Tuesday 30 May 2023. This is my first attempt and I got the F1 visa. I went with no Travel History. My passport was with no any visa. I think I got my visa because I had strong ties. I am employed for six year now in the same organisation, I am a Logistics Manager with a good salary. I am married. I have no siblings or parents in the US. Travel History does help only 20%. I Strong ties are the pillars for the approval of a visa. I was asked when did I graduate from high school and University, how am I going to pay for my studies.
Nice job Aladi, I am glad you eventually got it. Can you describe the process of the interview itself. I mean what is a candidate expected to come along with. What about the police checkpoint outside and the photograph specs. Also its important not to jubilate in that whole vicinity. The consular officers are very highly trained people in human psychology and they know when you are not keeping it real like you said. Congrats on your visa as well. More suggestions to come later

@@aos8695 Unfortunately, it didn't go well. The consular officer advised me to have my interview in my home country. There are a lot of personal factors that contributed to mine I think. But, PRAY, believe and make sure you prepare well before you go! It's going to be fine!

My visa was rejected this month and I’ve been trying to re- apply but when I was filling in on my phone to pay the visa fee I was asked if I’ve been denied a visa in the last three months and I said yes, so they showed me that there are no appointments but when I selected NO then they gave me an appointment and instructions on how to pay so my question dear is will that lie affect me because I don’t want to wait for three months to elapse so that I apply again my 1-20 will have expired

Hello, I was done with NYSC before I applied for my student visa. My 3rd and last visa interview was on August 8th and my School officially resumed on August 20th, but the orientation started on the 15th of August.
Okay. Understood.. thanks for the prompt feedback. I’m considering reapplying for the visa after my NYSC. My F1 visa was denied on Tuesday. And I suspect the youth Corp had a great influence on that decision. Tho my school resumes on August 19, while my NYSC elapses on September 23. So I considered deferring my admission till January next year. I hope we keep in touch nevertheless.
Sometimes, they do not even ask about GRE Scores. I didn’t even write GRE before coming here and I was not asked about it during my three visa interviews. I am not sure that a low score will pose a problem. You just have to relax and be confident about your answers. Best wishes for your visa interview.

You can talk about your life in the US or about great schools for international students you've heard about.
