lol exactly. Someone once said “WHY IS MY ALGORITHM SHOWING ME HOUSEPLANT VIDEOS. IT’S SO BORING” but they’re literally teaching the algorithm with their commenting 😂
Some people are just vile. I just got into house plants. Glad to have videos of yours and others to learn from. Especially learning from things that worked or didn’t work for you and incorporating that into my own situation and environment. Please don’t ever stop please, experience matters and you can’t buy that. Speaking of buying 😅, do you sell your Variegated Frydek plantlets or corms? 😅 Thanks for the laughs and guffaws.
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow I feel the same way everytime i do plant chores! I spend hours somehow on the tiniest things and then i get hangry or my legs start to hurt and i'm so overwhlemed lol but i love my plants still and need to stop buying more so i can manage what i already got!
I hope you won’t let any stranger’s negativity and unkind comments make you feel bad. I think you’re very creative, fun and funny. I enjoy both the short and long versions. Please keep them coming.
You make me brave to be more hands-on with my plants. I repotted a gifted birds nest snake plant and even mixed my own soil so it would be fast draining. It did great! Now there are two baby plants coming up in the same pot. Ignore the trolls. Your videos bring me so much joy.
Love your content in either short form or long form. The advantage on long form is we get to learn more on the products you use and the methods. Which help us as a guide.
I enjoy both, the long vids are more detailed and I find more info. The shorts are fun to watch and i learn from those too. Thanks for you content btw 🌱✨
I think if people don’t have something nice to say…they should do what their parents should have taught them & “say nothing if you don’t have something nice to say!” Plus come on people where does negativity get you? Absolutely NOWHERE! I enjoy your videos along with others and enjoy getting different ideas of how to grow my plants. I do love your energy!
You have such a beautiful home! I absolutely love seeing more of your personality, and your editing style is really fun and enjoyable. I’m excited to see more long form content!
Love your videos. Very unique and, different from everyone else. Don't let the trolls get to you. There will always be someone out there who has a negative opinion. Keep up the great videos. 😊
I really like your videos, they give me good company while repotting or during plant care. Hope you keep going with the longer ones. Wish you a wonderful day! 😊
So glad I save your vids to finish watching when I'm in a hurry! This time I started from the beginning. The trolls are so judgemental. "Jeeze Louise!" Lol! Hey, I love your shorts, best I've ever seen - forget them, lots of narcissists out there & you'll never please them. Just stay who 'you' are 💚 - I love how you mixed some short antics in the long, perfect combo :)
This is a unique channel, its fun, witty, oh those late nights - I can attest to that on top of work and kids, plants gotta be a fun hobby thay makes you feel good. Keep going!
I just started being a plant mama and soooo..Keep the info coming because I have enjoyed learning from you! I do like the longs better than shorts but I do watch both!
I love watching you, it always puts me in a good mood. I have been into plants way before the pandemic and ill be into them for many, many more years. I like how you put them on blast. That itself will get more views. Call all of them out and maybe they will stop. If not gives you more content lol
I love all your content. That’s why I keep coming back. Idk why the trollers keep coming back if they dislike you so but I hope it helps your views 😂. Keep being you Love. ❤
I suspect I am about as far away from your target audience as one can get. The only thing remotely resembling a plant in my vecinity is a dried flower that my sister left here a million years ago. And I absolutely love your videos. They're funny and quirky and have just the right amount of trolling, and they somehow feel like a home. Don't change a thing for the haters. You're doing awesome.
I appreciate both your long and short videos. I have gotten several items you use or have gotten something comparable that works for my apartment living setup. In fact I want to figure out my own chunky bin setup next. Keep doing you and sharing what you have learned, the rest will either take what they think works for them or not. The ones with seemingly enough time to type negative comments, like you said need to feel free to keep strolling!
I am new to the channel and I love your shorts. I can so relate to them. I don't think you should change anything. As for you talking fast, I can understand every word without issue. If they can't, that's their problem, not yours.
So I just recently found your channel so am late to the game here but I love your short form and long for content. I thinking it’s really informative and SUPER creative. Freaking trolls! Why are they so much more interested in being mean than going and creating a good life? Keep doing what you’re doing and I will keep coming to see what you’re up to
Soooo, screw the trolls! If they dont like your content they can go and watch someone else. By the way I love Sol soils, Billions and most of your recommendations and none of my plant have died, only flourished. So please keep your videos coming!
I love your videos and shorts 🤗❤️ I get so many tips and tricks, and your humor,- I often laugh so hard! It may also be because you nail the plantparent life so good 😂 I hope you keep going for long, and don't give those trolls even a thought! 😉
You are on my favorites! Ignore the trolls. And to whoever said...plants are no longer hobby...first...you would be 1000% wrong and second...you would be even more wrong.
This was great - I hope you do more long-form bc I have learned a lot from you and I also have learned about products that I have found very useful and didn't know about prior. Sorry about the trolls.
Keep what you're doing! Both your shorts & long videos are fun to watch (though i prefer your longer ones since i can watch longer haha). Im just getting into plants so your videos are helpful!
Love your shorts- but love the lengthy ones too! Your videos are uplifting and informative- just plain fun! Wish I had your energy!!! Oh and I’m finally getting to try your “root crack” lol.
Love everything you do! Tho I really can't believe some people... blaming you for THEIR failures is the epitome of what's wrong in our society. No one wants to take responsibility for their actions 🤦🏿♀️ But anyw, all the beautiful alocasias! I love alocasias. I've found mine do well in sphagnum moss really well. 😀
Love your content! Short or long I’m so happy to be here for it. Haters gonna hate, you seem to be a strong minded woman , focused and determined not giving a F about those who don’t deserve your attention. If you can find any solace in their negativity is you’re a strong beautiful woman, with them focusing it at you, it’s keeping them from those who might not be able to shake it off as well as you ♥️✨ Thank you for all the time and effort it takes to create content like you do. Have an awesome trip to Lake Tahoe. So beautiful there 🌈
I just want to leave a POSITIVE comment saying I am sooo excited for any long form content you put out! And I’ve learned so much from all your videos. Any sane person knows plants are trial and error and what works for one isn’t gonna work for every other plant… let along plant parent 😂 Sorry you have to deal with the keyboard warriors!! Appreciate all your expertise and content and I will take whatever videos/shorts you are willing to put out! 😊❤
LOL the troll comments are hilarious. Imagine living in a world where you think plants are a trend and no one cared about them before Rona. Also, I have that soil too and love it, that person obviously should not have started with expensive plants if they were a beginner. Blaming someone else for their lack of research on the care of the plant they buy is hilarious. I love your shorts but love the long content the most. For the soil, I like that its peat moss free and wish I could find a good outdoor potting soil that was also peat free.
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow pretty much impossible where I am for outdoor soil :( I believe the people who started that soil company you use are based in my state if I remember right, unless the bag just looks similar, it made me happy to support a fellow Minnesotan though haha.
@@ohtheplacesyoullgrow😂😂😂 you have too. There is no way you have so much energy for everything. Love your content. First saw you on TikTok and now found you on RU-vid 😊thank you for all the work you do. ❤
Love these longer vids for detailed info but your shorts always make me smile!!🤗 Do you have to continually add water to the stratum cups? If so how often?
I do have to continually add water! Every few days! The ones that were well rooted needed watering EVERY DAY which is why I moved them to soil. It was time.
LOL so with the double cup set up they will last up to a week in my environment. But for others I had my friend come in and water my corms. Lol. That’s why I moved to soil! Now they’re fine haha
Sucky people hiding behind a keyboard. I love your channel; long form, short form, I love them all. You're a font of knowledge and you're funny! I got rid of my fungus gnat problem, because of you -- we're best friends now. 😁
Haters gonna hate! The rest of us are here for it. I’m super Jelly of hope variegated Bambino. I “killed” my normal one I’m trying to reset but not doing a good job. I keep thinking about stratum but I’m kinda a mixed bag on Alocasia growing 🤣😑 say planty prayers
I genuinely enjoy your content so much. Long or short form. The only thing I can't stand about you is your success with alocasias. Mine just grow two leaves and die on repeat 😂 I should send them to your house to live
I'm too sensitive, those comments would hurt my feelings, but I hope you don't give them a second thought. I really like your videos and prefer the long-form over shorts, but watch both.
lol those comments are wild! People telling you to go outside and enjoy life LMFAO. How do people know what you do off camera? Lames...i love your videos, I watched a bunch of your baggebo set up up vids and you helped me a lot! thanks :)
Wow so many weirdos Pay no attention I enjoy your videos i do like long videos but that is my preference for pretty much everyone who has content By the way have no idea why your troll would say no one is interested in plants (how would he know) I have about 120 and about 50 orchids and many many outside plants as well and yes I buy plants all the time I find your are so fun to watch and so relatable!! Keep being you (:
Hi!!! I’ve used Fluval brand, but find that over time, it gets REALLY MUSHY and gross to handle and the roots don’t like it long term. The kind I prefer is from ModernAqua and the pebbles are compacted so they don’t breakdown like Fluval does over time. I find I can also reuse ModernAqua’s stratum (I have an affiliate code “MICHELLE5”).
People are wild🤯But I love your long and short form videos! They’re both funny and educational! With your corms when is a good time to put them in potting mix? I’ve got a few and they each have three leaves on each of them but are smaller than yours and the root systems are less developed. Should I wait longer before transferring them from stratum to soil?
Hi! Thank you so much 🫶. With my corms, I usually wait until about 3 leaves have unfurled and hardened before transferring, but these I clearly waited a year 🙈 (out of procrastination). If the roots are still tiny, I would use a smaller pot and make sure the soil is well watered and moist consistently for a few weeks before tapering off and resuming normal watering habits for your other Alocasias. If you’re worried though, you can wait until more roots!
I wonder if you could gently shack the outer coat without destroying the corm. Imagine the people complaining about the plant being "illegal" are the same people who have pets that are originally from other countries or plants/food not native to where they live.
I need more IKEA cabinets but we don’t have an IKEA in Alaska and shipping costs twice the price of the cabinets. I did order a Milsbo and it was almost $600
What is that u put the corms into? That black thing inside the cup that you inserted the corms in? I followes ur video except i used spagnum moss in a cup. I hope thats ok. So how long should i see a sprout? Im too excited if i get success
Moss works too!!! What I used is something called Stratum (I believe I linked it in my video description). It’s made of volcanic ash and great for growing roots, but I’ve grown corms in moss just fine too! In terms of how long. Omg. I had one sprout as quickly as one week and another take FIVE MONTHS! i have 5 corms from the same mother plant all in the same container in the same environment and only 4/5 have sprouted. It’s so random haha
