nobody had to figure it out this game released initially as a CC game and people already knew how to get partial res since there were videos on it and they just told the people in CC
In order to progress as an Arrancar you need to: >Find some npc in the barren wasteland known as hueco mundo >Go to the giant building that you normally have no incentive to go to >Talk to a purple orb in one of the rooms >Slowly walk towards the giant hole in the ground and jump into it I know CC games are known for giving little to no information on how to progress but how is anyone meant to figure this out without spending several days testing various methods?

You should try Dummies vs Noobs or Hellmet. Hellmet is a Ready or Not style game where you're POV is the helmet camera. Dummies vs Noobs is MiGato's older project which is a chaotic PvE with a steep learning curve. They both tie into the lore.

good maps are way easier to make in every possible scenario. if a game doesn't have a good map its most of the time due to the fact that devs dont care enough to make players stay longterm and just want them to spend money on something singular about the game thats cool for the player for example a devil fruit or character.
Tbh the current devs working on the game had nothing to do with the current ui game mechanics and pvp blame that on the old devs. The news ones are trying to make the game better for the community they have only been working on the game for a lil over a month now
Lol I died when I saw him discover a dance dance revolution machine amidst that void of a building. Hearing “Holy ****, I found the game!” Made me immediately think that they put more effort into that machine than everything else in type soul. But then the twist happened, it was the ultimate trap set by the developers…

Type soul the only bleach game where people try to actively stop others from progressing when theres 0 rewards for doing so Edit : it has come to my attention that there is actual rewards for killing new players instead of fighting people in your own grade. And like... is that not terrible game design? Like why should the easiest and fastest way to progress be killing new players. Like wtf?
grips are used to grade up, reset bankai/volt/res cooldowns and for specific quests. tfym 0 rewards? why would players go fight an elite grade for a grip when killing a grade 5 gives them the exact same reward?

Some days ago i tried this game too, what was i doing playing roblox of all things? who knows, but yeah, i joined the game, i read all the descriptions of the races, i pick hollow because it sounded kinda cool, it was a fucking wasteland of nothingness, with no tutorial, so i walked for a bit, saw two people fighting, i tried to go fight them, got gangbanged, then left the game and never booted it again. 10/10 game(Sorry if i had some grammatical errors, english is not my first language)
Not defending the game but any prior knowledge at all about type soul or the community would have prevented you from even breathing the same air as 2 players in the middle of a fight that are stronger than you. and honestly, that’s common sense for almost every pvp game on Roblox. why would you immediately start throwing hands after booting up the game.
@@azahalbioraexactly. People hate games for not holding there hands and actually having skill. Type soul is such an easy progression if people would look up a RU-vid video. I quite literally got partial res, semi elite grade. Drip, athen also had the time to make a grade 2 soul reaper get Shikai, athen like grade 3 Quincy.
this isn't a comment on this specific video but more-so on your channel as a whole. these videos are extremely helpful to me as a learning game developer, especially since i play some of these tutorial-less complicated games i kinda became desensitized to looking up the trello page. when i see you play these without any 3rd party information it reminds me a lot of when i played similar games when i was younger. i'd spam the chat asking for help because there was no in-game tutorial, and i'd get ignored 90% of the time. if i ever make an actual game i'll prioritize adding a tutorial, or at least some kind of "go here, do this" to get the ball rolling for new players

Just always prioritize User Experience. You'll know the game more than anyone else so of course something will be simple for you, but will always be more confusing for the user themselves. Give it tests with friends as well to study how they interact with the game as they're going in blind. You might be walking to this said building knowing there's quests or items there but the new player will think something else. Good luck in your game development!

Almost all new players complaining doesn't even know what old players went through, like you get 100+ rerolls and before more than 30 rerolls was so much for us
type soul is one of those games that you can only like if your a masochistic guy who likes games like that (the devs manage to get the game to a workable stage before it gets popular and immediately go the wrong way when the popularity spikes)
I think one of the main problems is that the game started out Closed Community and when the devs opened the game they still wanted to have progression with "no handholding". Doesn't add to the gameplay at all it just makes it harder for new players to get started. I would say that the combat gets better once you get more skills, but the gameplay is really just deepwoken but skill spam and the devs don't make it any better by adding all this broken hyper armor block break aoe bs. Great game tho
my experience with type soul: -joined for the first time -picked hollow cause theyre the coolest imo -get sent to baren desert with no tutorial -leave for the last time edit: good to know that soul society is just as much of an empty wasteland as the ACTUAL empty wasteland
A lot of your complaints like: Source material Wiki/trello usage weird as hell controls Are not issues in elemental battlegrounds, the only two issues i can think of is the shitty meta, and the P2W aspect, which lets you progress faster through the game (though it doesn't teach you how to use it, that comes from learning to play the game better) The game is decent but I'd be careful once you get past level 40, anyone still playing is pretty darn good at the game, smurf or high levels are incredibly common :P Also the game is pretty old by this point, 2016 iirc
@@promonkeyman21 it starts with a tutorial teaching you everything you need to know, graphics are fine if you manually turn them up to max (and also its a roblox game from 2016 you didnt read my full comment) and the content is pvp, so its pretty subjective based on who you're playing against, how you feel about pvp etc
Oh hail na as a lvl 200 elemntal battleground player dont play it. It sucks. The reason i was lvl 200 from it is because when i was like 12 i would use macro on it which fried my laptop overnight and was grounded for it. I jusy have bad memories cause of thay game.

Eclipse.. NEVER insult and SLANDER my glorious well designed game known as type soul. The game is excellently designed and has an intrecately designed combat system with no flaws. The progression is magnificent and the tutorial is flawless. This game is truly worthy of GOTY and will be the first roblox game to achieve this. My conclusion is that your video is awfully made and is simply propoganda the deepwoken devs commisioned you to make.
10:25 For context, this is the jail room where the mods used to forcefully imprison you if you killed them ingame and either keep you there until you wait an insane amount of time or extort you for ingame currency. the rhythm game minigame let you reduce your sentence by small amounts. this is not even a joke and i have experienced watching people get jailed for practically no reason
the maps that big because of the raids conquest and stuff take up the whole map and it needs to take time to get between those points so ppl can just come back instantly after waiting for the cooldown
here's a real game you might like: Randomly Generated Droids. its a multiplayer roguelike game with different characters,mechanics and bosses. the graphics are simple but the game is really fun,both alone and with other people.please try it out
I never realized that was default because my weapon slot which is 0 is binded to E in Deepwoken, glad I just lucked into that. Also this is a genuine question, HOW TF DO PEOPLE FIND RUNNING AROUND IN A WORLD WITH NOTHING IN IT ENJOYABLE ? For context I picked Shiragami and then quit the game at the "joining a guild thing" part of prog. so maybe I was doing something wrong idk.
@@HolyTakitoes sure you could do that, but it’s something you shouldn’t have to do! That’s the problem. They tell you every other bind in the game besides how to pull out your weapon that’s just silly. No one should have to trial and error how to pull out your weapon.
@@HolyTakitoes ok but see some people haven’t played the so called 90% (which isnt true btw your 90% comes from the game only YOU play) of games. People coming over from MM2 and other games are used to the weapons being equipped to your number keys. YBA, the stand equip key is Q. Some people don’t have the experience to know these things. If type soul is their first hardcore game, they shouldn’t get blocked by not knowing the key to pull out their sword. So “just use your brain” doesn’t work here. Again I feel I gotta reiterate that ts is a fine game. This is just one thing that’s a fast and easy fix.
2:51 there's intuitive ways to do the "figure it out yourself" type thing without having the users have to resort to trello games, but most games, especially roblox ones, suck at that
You wanna know what’s ever crazier about it? The SAME EXACT thing happened to me, I find the dance dance revolution game, get on it, can’t even play it cause I’m mobile and when I try to get off, I think I’m bugged, I try to reset and guess what! I can’t reset! So I was forced to leave and I didn’t play the game after that until the next day, where I felt salty and had to ask my friend and look at SOOOOO many videos on how the hell I even play the game.
But eclipse...after 30 hours of grinding the game finally gets good! Eclipse you gotta understand that the map, visuals, effects, models, pve, and leveling are not fun, but the pvp. THE PVP IS WHAT MAKES THE 1320432 HOURS OF GRINDING WORTH IT. You gotta use the trello man, the trello.

Good video as always, I especially agree that you shouldn't have to have watched the source material in order to understand the game, that's just basic game design and makes it more accessible to anyone who wants to play.
the obby for arrancar was so fucked up they make you walk across half the map without being able to defend your self from npcs or players. Then at the end of the parkour theres a gap at the end of a steep cliff that you can only see if you stop right at the edge of the slope. I had to walk all the way back and do it a 3rd time just for the game to not even let me use my abilities even though it shows i already unlocked it.
honestly i like playing type soul but the only big issues is how no information is ingame and requires the trello, i have to have the trello always on my google

Btw eclipse idk if there working on a tutorial but they don’t have one not to mention that most of the stuff you stated like controls list was in the old type soul by the devs everyone said was ASS and you used to spawn in as a human with a chain in your chest with literally no direction or hint nor clue as to how to do anything in the game except to press curl k and take off your chain to be eternally screwed cause you’d become what was known as a hollow back then you were a fishbone that needed to kill 15 other fish ones or a world boss you had no way to know existed then you would become a big black thing called a menos at this point most just took their mask off and became 900x weaker cause decreased mode duration (wich only effects you at the end game) or you could sit there and kill 50 npc menoses to become a adjucha and then you needed 50 mask cracks for 1 part to be done after that you needed to 1v1 another person who looked just like you then you can fight a npc that if you lost to for ANY reason you can never become a vast meaning you gotta do it all again but turns out you can’t wipe cause you need a soul ticket another item you had no idea existed to wipe and it is also a mythical meaning a 0.0005% to get it back then (so they did improve the game but there is still a LOOOOONG way to go

a quick rundown on bleach lore (like 4 lines of text) - shinigami or soul reapers are the good guys and they guide souls to the afterlife - hollows are souls that had their hearts removed and they are brainless unless they evolve - quincies are souls but femboy with bows (idk) and they all hate eachother
Eclipse you should try a game called YBA. It's kinda like ABD, but it's more refined and the combat system is a lot better. There are specs and other neat game mechanics which I know you will love.
I remember there being a tutorial place, as in a different server where you get to learn stuff about being a soul reaper and leveling to 30 or smtn, but from what i remember if you die, or get kicked you just get sent to soul society with no explanation, good game design

Played type soul today got jumped by a quincy when I was doing quest board tried to do it agan got jumped once more then he emoted on me then I went to katakura GOT jumped agan literally when I just spawned. Then 3 soul reaper came and helped me then I left the game

I have 71 hours of Playtime in Type://Soul and i must agree with everything Eclipse said, unfortunely. I already knew a lot of the game cuz of the release 8 months ago, but it's not rare, actually it occurs REALLY often, to see someone asking for information and wanting to know how to progress past Grade 2/1. The game gives you 0 information about what to do and HOW to do. Soul Society (SS) map is big as hell and most of the people stay at the 12 division all the time, so the entire map is just a empty wasteland. Unless you have a friend or find someone, you'll be just eternally walking at Soul Society. Soul Reaper progression as a newbie is sad.
I do agree that this game lacks certain guidelines and overall the start is not so good, but the key feature of this is pvp, which you mainly experience after mid-game. After that it gets quite fun, but once again, a revamp of early-game should be done, or maybe more player-friendly. Anyways, try a game called Pilgrammed, it is not that popular, but it is an RPG based on parrying and fighting bosses. I myself enjoyed it, so see for your self, give it a shot.
Fun fact! The parry system is prediction based unlike deepwoken so if you want to parry in this game you have to press f in the enemy's attack wind up not when the move is about to hit you like in deepwoken! Awesome game!
