For doll lovers...
This slideshow originally started out as a cataloguing project for insurance purposes, but then the idea grew into something a bit more fun. As I add to the collection, this will just grow and grow. I suspect one day I'll contrive a whole docudrama with a cast of hundreds.
Some of these dolls are in the process of being restored or preserved, ie: hair re-roots, fixing the paint and crazing in the composition, re-setting the wigs, etc. They don't make them like this any more - and with my love of vintage things, I want to do what I can to keep these dolls around for a long time.

Yeah, I went and got a mid-production Toni (Ideal version) from my doll case, and she looks really similar! I've never really got into Madame Alexander, I've always stuck to vintage Barbie, Tammy, Dawn, Terri Lee, Chatty Cathy, and those types....Thanks for the quick reply! Nice to see doll collectors on RU-vid...;)

I still have a Cindy Barbie Doll from my Childhood. I was surprised to see that there was a "Pedigree Sindy Doll" before I was born. I like your Doll Collection:)!

Hi! I enjoyed seeing your wonderful doll collection! Just wanted to tell you... at about 3:35, the beautiful doll you have named as "Margaret" 1950s is a rare and hard to find "Wendy" from Peter Pan from 1953, made after the Disney movie! She is wearing her original outfit and looks to be in great condition! She is lovely! Thanks for sharing!

Hi Wendy S - for some reason I could not reply directly to your question, but the answer is - all of the dolls that I have either come from eBay or another online auction site like Ruby Lane, or from doll shows (big exhibits for collectors and hobbyists.) I hope that helps.

0:29 Wonderful paint on that Terri Lee! A high color masterpiece for sure... 1:49 Is that a Toni (the Ideal version) in the dead center? 1:59 Funny, girly on the far left looks like a Sweet Sue from the side...see it?

@catstopzebra - the doll in the dead center at 1:49 is a hard plastic Madame Alexander Margaret doll. I think a lot of the doll face molds from this era were very similar. Some doll companies, like Vogue, bought the Debu-teen doll molds from R&B, so they all seem to be remotely related. :))

Hi - it's called Sun-kissed Chicks. As for companies that sell extra-large dolls, I just bid for mine on auction sites like eBay, but I prefer vintage so that's perfect for me.

Hi, I have some old Babies. My Mom's baby is a Saucy Walker. I should get how much she is going for. She is in original clothing & hair style. She has been kept very well. when I did have to have her bands redone the woman said she is in excellent condition & all original.🤗🐽✌❤

I'm here still trying to figure out who my doll is .. I have watched so many videos a s researched. She has no Mark's. Nothing. Help!!! She has strong inside her for her limbs from her head legs and arms. She is a cute doll. Cute braids. Look like she was taken care of. Put away. Can someone send me to a page or help me out?? Please
