Some thoughts from a middle school orchestra kid: -I wouldn’t recommend F minor or any key with more than a couple flats, especially when the piece isn’t some symphonic work where the strings are in flat keys to accommodate the winds that are already tuned to flats. Keys do matter, since if the tonic is an open string (G, D, A, E) there’s going to be more resonance than when the tonic is always a fingered note. It’s also why all violin concertos seem to be in D -Write slurs in (preferably)!! This is another thing that matters, and probably more. Slurs make a big difference in bowing so a few notes that are all separated are not interchangeable than if every 2 notes are slurred, or 4, or whatever. It’d also be helpful to write them articulations, staccato/legato, tenuto, accents, all that -The double stops at 2:13 and 2:43 are possible, but they’d be really hard and frustrating. If none of the notes are opens (again, G D A or E) and if the note on the lower string requires a higher finger than the higher note, owie. Obviously none of this should be a problem if the work is professional-level. Is there a reason why you wanted double stops instead of each violin playing one line? I guess I’m here to complain about how to make the piece more practical to play and notation, not how it actually sounds. (Because it sounds nice despite all I wrote)
