My Visit to the Lahaina Banyan Tree Before the Wildfires. Maui, Hawaii  

On January 18th, 2023 I visited the town of Lahaina on the island of Maui, Hawaii.
I was awestruck by the magnificent beauty of the Banyan Tree located near the harbor. I sat on a bench under the tree, people-watched, and just took a moment to relax and appreciate the wonder of this tree. I promised to return to Lahaina, never imagining the loss of life and destruction the wildfire that started on August 8th would cause.
Pray for Maui, the people of Lahaina who have lost loved ones and their homes. I can't even begin the imagine the pain they are suffering.
