Fr. Marko Bušić, 32, Archdiocese of Toronto, was born and raised by parents of Croatian descent in Mississauga, Ontario. He is the youngest of six siblings, with four sisters and a brother who will be ordained, God-willing, to the priesthood in May 2024. He attended elementary and high school in Mississauga and graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Environmental Studies. During those years, he was involved with altar serving, youth groups, and folklore music groups at his home parish of Croatian Martyrs. Marko felt God's call to the priesthood around eight years old, a call which would be nurtured thanks to the faithful witness and support of his parents, his family, many priests, and friends over the years. In 2013, while at a young adult retreat, Marko's faith and calling to the priesthood was rekindled. He would join the Seminary, which allowed his vocation to deepen and grow. Marko is looking forward to serving the people of God as a priest in the Archdiocese of Toronto.
