In this video, I discuss wallpaper paste and machines. It is no secret that I highly recommend professional wallpaper hangers purchase a Paste Machine at least for commercial installations; I cannot imagine going back to the days of manually pasting 54 inch vinyl. #WallpaperPastingMachine #Wallpaper #DIYWallpaper #AdvanceWallpaperMachine #AdvanceWallpaperPasteMachine

He is 100% correct. As a person who started wallpapering from nothing, and having no tools whatsoever to having invested quite a bit of money in a rig and tools I can tell you for a fact that machine will not only saving time and money it will save headaches. It will be much less clean up especially with the walls and ceiling. I did a hotel that had three floors and at first we were pasting the wall because it was acceptable for the paper. About one day in I decided to go get a pasting machine, so I bought a big Pastemaster. It was the best money I ever spent. Now going back to residential I’m starting to realize that even doing one room that has paste the wall, it would be more efficient to paste the paper with the machine. Could never consider the price of a tool. Save for it. Make it your budget priority.

Hey Spencer, I have 3 tapofix pasting machines they are all 29" lightweight and easy to setup. We use a swiveling tripod stand set 2' from the 6' table. I used to have several larger machines for 36" textiles and 54" contract goods, too big too heavy rarely used. 90% of what we do is residential so the 29" machine is perfect, we keep it with paste in a Tupperware type box and clean it once a week. So for grasscloth since you can't paste too much ahead we hand paste, for 54" we take a large drop on hard floor usually garage and use a long extension pole to roll out sheets, very fast. Tapofx is the best machine you can get, unfortunately you can't get the 29" anymore. With the advent of non woven paste the wall materials we use the machine less and less, some of those you can pull thru but some will wrinkle and ink flakes off once wet so usually we paste the wall which honestly we love anyway, so little setup. Btw you can buy true 12 inch x 6ft boards at Lowe's that won't warp cause they are made up of strips of pine we put 2 coats of Thompson's on them and draw a sharpie line every 12" across (we don't need inches), these boards are perfect for grasscloth as they are exactly 36" wide on the trestles.

Hey Spencer. I'm not knocking your ways but I know how to load and unload my 62 in machine by myself with no problems. You have to be smarter than what you're working with. I am one of the top five hangers in Charlotte n.c. Kelly Ballard is the name and I can back it up.

You sound like a proud woman. Why would you share that with me?

I was under the impression that pulling residential paper through a machine would cause it to stretch. Is this not the case? Do pretty much all residential papers go through a machine ok? I have a pastemate and have a job coming up that has both commercial and residential so I’d like to try

You probably won't see this or won't til im done with this job. My commercial pasteing machine is skipping paste on my paper i just can't figure what i have set wrong on it. I have not used it in years so i don't remember what is up with it. Don't think I'm missing any pieces on it. Im having to take a roller to spots

Spencer, I have figured out a way to load my Advance 62" machine on to a trailer or a van by myself. It requires mounting two castors on the folding leg of the machine. I can send you a picture if you are interested.

I am in the UK. The biggest issue I would have is letting it dry in the sun 🤣
