makes me so happy to see people stick around to see him finish it even though they may not even be into skating. they just see the perseverance and show respect. restores just a little bit of my faith in humanity.

My war is the epitome of what skateboarding is. Whether it is 3 stairs or 13, we can all relate to getting that heart heart up.

This is the best Thrasher “My War” vid. The positive reaction from the random passerby’s was the best part. They (most likely) don’t know who this guy is or give a damn about skateboarding, but they saw a guy persevering. They were genuinely proud of this stranger landing s skateboard trick.

The best part about this video is seeing all the people who stuck around just to see even one of Dane's attempts. People who've never touched a board before, never seen a skate video before or have never even had interest in skateboarding took time out of their day to support him because they knew what he was doing was meaningful, difficult and took talent, despite not knowing who he was or what exactly he was doing. Even a disabled guy sat by that ledge for hours and cheered for him when he landed it. That means a lot, when a group of people come together to celebrate a strangers success in an activity that means nothing to them. They stayed not because he's Dane Burman or because they like skateboarding, they stayed to see success

This is the meaning of skateboarding to me. Yes is nice to go out and just goof around and go home but the best part about skateboarding is when you land something and you just know that you did something amazing. I only had that feeling maybe 2 or 3 times but everytime I knew that this moment is special for me. I can't even imagine how Dane felt here but I bet it was better then coming.

There was something so beautiful about the man in the wheel chair watching him. I can only imagine what one would think.

I still think my favorite thing about this bit is the random people are so into him landing it, like as much as the skaters at the bottom. love it.

I was in philly and looked at this thing today. I knew it was high but this dude is fucking nuts. You can't really grasp how gnarly it really is until you see it in person. The drop on the end alone is high as fuck.

This is my favorite MyWar of all time. That crowd hype is just amazing.

My absolute favorite part of this video is the bystanders watching him every try and waiting for him to land. Goosebumps every time I see the random civilians cheering him on after the make.

That's one of the amazing things about skateboarding. The comradery. The fact that so many strangers will sit there with him and watch him try the trick, cheering everytime, encouraging him, rooting for him and hoping for the best. Really cool to see. It really can bring people together

Everybody understand just how fucking gnarly this is and no matter who you are when you see it in front of you you instantly respect it. Non of those people skated..... but EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM knew they had witnessed something very very special. This was awesome.

I just move to Philadelphia and took a tour of the city; went to see the liberty bell , Betsy Ross House, Art Museum, etc... Seeing this spot in person was the highlight of the tour. So much gnarlier in person.

Skating is %100 taming ur mental to conquer the once thought impossible. I've seen a guy really get into his car hating himself because he couldn't get himself to 50-50 the down rail. When he knew he could easily do it, having them on lock. But once he finally did it. It's the best feeling ever. Seen lil wayne explain that feeling, as better than all the happiness his legendary soul has experienced on this earth through his career.
