I haven't actually, but we're actually doing a case study on them for a class I'm taking, and as far as I can tell they're an amazing company. They actually do put all their employees through a rigorous customer service training program and they have a very different view of customer service (both in their call centers and retail locations) than most companies do.
@tristanpope My name is Anthony and work for LensCrafters, I am sorry for your experience that is not typical for the service we like to provide. If I can help in anyway please reach out.
Anthony Maas I called customer service after and they basically told me “oh well” so no there is nothing you can do. Warby Parker understands how to make a good experience for a mundane thing.
THANK YOU for this review and comparison. I’ve been researching all day to determine if it would be worth switching over from a regular schmegular retailer vs Warby Parker. You were like the only person. Thank you so much!
I just discovered your channel, as I was looking for an everyday person’s review of Warby Parker before booking an appointment…… a great informative video with tremendous positive energy & an excellent choice of frames. Thanks Dude! 👍🏾
I’m an optician and I’ve unfortunately seen other opticians discount it when people react as you did with the LensCrafters glasses. Personally if someone reacts like you I immediately say I will double check the glasses because I’ve seen lenses be made wrong. I’m sure yours were made wrong. He handled it badly.
Good deal! I ordered my pair of glasses online from Warby Parker and when I received them they didn’t do everything for the glasses that I paid for. I was supposed to have transition lenses and that was missing. Now that immediately aggravated me but when I called the guy at WP was really nice and immediately started my new order. He didn’t even tell me they had to wait until they got the pair they sent me back. So as far as customer service it’s excellent. $195 for a complete pair of glasses that are actually two pair in one is totally worth it.
Thank you for this review! Something has happened to Lenscrafters in the past 3+ years. I've had to have them redo my RX. I went to another location and still same experience as my other one a couple of years ago. They got it wrong. A month later I still have no new glasses. Last time I will be using Lenscrafters after 20+ years going to them.
Love Warby Parker. More affordable and great experience going into the brick and motor stores. They are really helpful 😊. Very easy to order glasses online as well.
Was in same situation, please forgive if not worded correctly. But having cp is a tough thing sometimes. Anyway, had glasses from lenscrafters, they were same as yours. Hated wearing them so didn't and went to eye doctor and he did exam, at few points was like I can't see that at all, he gave prescription. Warby Parker for the win
This sounds like my experience at America's Best. Thankfully they returned the glasses. I ssaw spots where lights are. I had to call twice for them to cancel my insurance claim.
At Warby Parker: single vision, polycarbonate lenses, anti-glare, and scratch resistant coatings are inclusive. The only extras are high index lenses, blue light filter (no yellow vision), and photochromic lenses. $95 acetate frames. $145 metal franes. $145 mixed materials (acetate and metal). $175 titanium frames. 13:27 At Lens Crafter's its seems like the 15 year old "experienced" employee messed up,or the lab messed the cylinder values on tour Rx turning everyone into a spaghetti.
I'm not big on leaving comments on videos, but wanted to say thanks for this review. I'm at the point now for progressive lenses and reeeallly don't want to spend the money that those cost at typical brick and mortars. I ordered a pair of single vision glasses from warby online a couple years ago, and those worked out fine, but now I'm hesitant because progressives are tricky. I decided to go a warby location and get assistance, and now I'm pretty confident they should make me a happy customer. Thanks again.
Other than maybe offering some more choices in lens technology (Standard CR-39/Trivex) that offer just a little bit better clarity I think their stuff is actually priced right in the industry.
I know what it means. I had just never walked into a store and had it put on display for me. Spending much of my time growing up in Zurich I didn't actually even consider gender a thing that mattered. But then spending time in America as a Millennial I def didn't hear it a lot so when I do hear it, it still catches me off guard a bit. Not as much now as it has been about 2 more years of it being very forefront. But hey we all adjust to new things :) Appreciate the reminder.
Ok so are those frames from the gender neutral side of the store? Cause I'm female but I want to try them on at my appt tmw! They look great on you. You dont look anything like a Nazi mad scientist!
