One of my favourite weirdo synthesizers is the Qadrox from SISMO. It's a rather strangely beautiful, unstable noise machine, and in many ways it's pretty difficult to work with. It's atonal, kind of unpredictable, and screechy. But... throw in a reverb or some other effects and you can get some really quite unique and eery sounds that can form the basis of (or add to) other bits of music.
