@@slackstarfish8133 No you’re reading a bunch of blogs and running with whatever narrative they put out there. At the end of the day he does what HE wants, not what others expect or want from him, which is in his control, what’s hard to understand?
Fun fact FML was supposed to be in Rodeo Piss on your grave was supposed to be in TLOP but they exchanged songs. There is a Travis version of FML leaked
If you listen to "Family Business" from College Dropout and then immediately after listen to "Real Friends" it's easy to understand how fame can fuck you up, when you see the shift he has been through in like 10-15 years.
Went to the saint pablo tour in tampa Florida. Got nose bleeds. My bro n law had to go to the bathroom and some guy stopped us in the hallway and said how many people with you? We said 6 and he gave us floor tickets for free to fill in space. Long story short anytime he has to use the bathroom we going 😂 the best concert I've ever been to and one of the best nights of my life. Dude had a floating stage. Love you guys! Also def coping a few shirts! Those look awesome! Side note. Hearing thousands of people yell "I made that bitch famous" was hilarious
I don’t usually go for reactions where one person is showing something they know well to another person who doesn’t. But Archie has a way of stepping aside and letting Molly share her experience, which she does well. Thank you both for reacting to an all time favorite. It’s a great ride.
The 'This is Kanye West' playlist on Spotify should redirect to this album because this is the best representation of Kanye as a person. My favorite Kanye album after Graduation and Yeezus
I was marathoning your videos right now and looking for this album and when I go to the page I see that it came out 10 minutes ago, I love you guys, keep going, love from Brazil ❤
That "Mhm" sound your wife makes when she nods along to the songs is the exact same as my bluetooth speaker makes when about to power down. Multiple times during the video I was confused & had to check that the charger was still plugged in
I have the exact same reaction as her at 38:27 whenever I listen to this album. Even though it's only like 30 seconds long, I feel like his voice on it sounds so so good. I feel like it's an essential part of the album, it's beautiful. I wish we got a full length version of him with some more lines on it.
I've been listening to podcasts for years and have heard MILLLLLIONS of ads. I've never bought anything. ... I will buy one of those shirts!!! I'm so glad you guys have enough of a following to finally do ads! This is my all-time favorite record, btw. :)
Its a masterwork album, some of his best material. All of his earlier albums, inspired so much of the sound we hear today across multiple genres its actually insane how talented Kayne is despite his flaws he will always be legend.
Kanye is obviously a genius musically but i think his best gift is taking someone and they always have a phenomenal verse or hook with him. You can name most anyone he's worked with and they'll have one of their best verses on a Kanye song. He could probably get me to do something good and i can't sing or rap! TLoP is so polarzing i think. The highs are so high, all timers for me in the Kanye repertoire but the lows are there. Father Pt 1, Facts, 30 hours, Saint Pablo, Ultralight Beams, Waves and Wolves are some of my favorite songs of his.
30 hours is a great beat and sample, an underutilized Andre 3000 feature, shoutouts and ultimately ends in a phone call but dammit its one my favorite Kanye songs
@@svidyut4402 agreed. But Real Friends is genuinely great tho. I’m mad Kanye detoured Ty Dolla’s career to make such weak music. I heard an unreleased Ty$ album that was sooo good. Sounded like a west coast D’Angelo album.
My favorite Kanye project. Ultralight Beam got me tears already bro edit to say I love how you guys cut this, everything stays on time. Very underrated part of a good reaction vid!
Omg “i need every bad bitch up in Equinox, I wanna know if you’re a freak or not” is something I hum (definitely not sing out loud lol) when I’m in the gym and I forgot it was from this album 💀
fun fact about this album was that Kanye actually called Taylor swift to see if its okay to say that on the track famous and she said yea its okay its on RU-vid
That’s not the whole story. Ye didn’t say all the lyrics, so what Taylor said was okay wasn’t the actual lyrics. Kim released a trimmed recording of the call, the whole transcript has since been released.
It’s is already a classic it’s just those types of fans who only think the College Trilogy “the old Kanye” was great and they just don’t get when Ye got more artistic and experimental from that point forward. As pretentious as that sounds I believe his post Graduation career 808s through Donda he became greater artist just less radio hits.
On the The Life of Pablo Kanye has to choose which one, the life for family and God or the life of fame and sex and the album ends with him calling to God for a way out of the nightlife on Saint Pablo.
This is why personally I have a hard time getting into his last couple records, it's tough for me to hear someone reach a point in their life reaching out to a higher power (life of pablo, ye/kids see ghost to a lesser extent, jesus is king) to find a way through the darkness that surrounds him only for him to seemingly get sucked in even deeper with what he's said lately in the media and put into his albums, i dont know i could be looking at it wrong or reading into it too much but all his new stuff feels SO heavy in comparison to the heaviest tracks on those albums
Just took a deep dive into all your reactions and was throughly entertained. Molly your ear is impeccable! I would love for yall to do a deep dive into an artist from Sacramento, Mozzy. He has some very rough, gangster stuff, but also has a lot of soul in it.
This is one of my favorite Kanye albums, thank you for doing a reaction to this. This album got me through my freshman year of college especially with the funny Kanye lyrics on being with Kim Kardashian & his diss tracks on Drake & Ray J 😆
Also, can we acknowledge Kanye's influence in the fashion world and how much he really changed streetwear during the Pablo Era with his fashion and album/tour merch. "Somedays I'm in my Yeezys, some days I'm in my Vans," off No More Parties in LA, had everyone running to buy Vans back in 2016, especially when Ye was stepping out wearing them. Vans could not keep Old Skool Vans on shelves or in stock online.
Already heard more choir on Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1. As someone who stuck with the first version for years, this reaction is semi-new to me. This should be fun.
I don't know if I'd call it his best, but it's pretty easily my favorite album of us. Ultralight Beam and Waves are a couple of my favorite songs ever.
