Black Friday was upon us in todays episode. We get the game store completely ready for the mad rush of gamers on the busiest purchasing day of the year! #Games #VideoGames #Gaming
The PUNCH CARDS are sweet!! Great incentive to comeback and get more games! Little spelling error on that first batch and definitely create a database for the punch cards so no one abuses it!!!
always handy when youve just watched an older episode and a brand new one comes up! Loving your content been binging it for the past week.. You've inspired me to start collecting games, although its more challenging over here in the UK. I hope you, your family and new business every success!
The punch cards definitely work for incentive. My local store did that and they had tons of repeat customers. Hope the sales charts were through the roof for you guys on BF!
I look back at the episode where Rick does a total trade-in dump of shovel games... now those games sits in his inventory. LOL. Great job, can't wait to see how Black Friday went!
You should look into 3D printing stands for the showcases so the games don't have to overlap. That way if you sell something in the middle you don't have to re-arrange everything or slide things around/have them falling over.
Love it, tilting those cartridges was indeed a great idea wow. Great video Rick. Loving the store ❤The amount of stuff you sell is insane 🤩 Remembering the days I rented videogame cartridges from the video store, priceless!
Plz don’t stop making these videos. It’s given me a reason to watch YT during my lunch break. I know it’s selfish to ask… but upload more plz. Daily lol
Like the DKC in the background quality tunes the ambience of the water track though fire !! Carey I assume is how you spell it looks like morts garage cousin or brother take or leave it lol
I work at a pawn shop. We offer layaway. You should as well. People can put stuff on layaway for a percentage of the price. And they get a few months to pay off depending on price. If they cancel or don't pay up, you can charge a restocking fee
It’s actually infuriating that there’s no advertising as the name of the actual store or where it is. There’s so many things I want to purchase there I don’t comprehend what he’s doing not advertising
So i just subscribed. I love collecting and reselling but I can't stick to 1 thing which screws me. Stamps (when young) baseball cards. Garbage pail kids back to baseball cards. Then went to shoes (most lucrative for me) to now Christmas stuff and funko. But it's been fun.
I want that Pod Racer cardboard cutout. I didn’t buy an N64 until they came out with it. In fact the sole reason I bought my Switch was because I found out Limited Run came out with it for the Switch.
Hey @Rick, put a claw machine inside the store where you win games instead of plush or prizes. Also replace the museum display with your nostalgia items in your gameroom each display case with different themes and you change themes every couple of months to make the displays more dynamic instead of being the same one the whole time. Please like to get Rick's attention. thanks!
Hey Rick, Great Stuff! The Punch cards are very creative. Just one issue, they have a typo on them. It says "OF" when I think its supposed to say "OFF"
I cannot stress enough how important it is to have games title spines and it’s covers visible behind the glass counters! When I go into a store especially as a collector of a console and can’t see titles or covers it drives me nuts. Sometimes I just feel like jumping over the counter! Especially if they’re to far to see. So I have to take a photo with my phone just to zoom in! 😆 Especially black spines are difficult to see under the lights glare. Most of the time I don’t buy stuff cause’ I can’t even tell what it is. Yes I can ask but I have no patience. 😂 Not naming any stores 🤣 I’m in Cali by the way.
To prevent illegitimate returns, would recommend to have a small sticker or harmless mark inside all cartridges to "brand" your goods; heard this on "Game Store Guy" podcast (highly recommended btw)
Seems risky to have the games out on shelves like that. Experienced thieves can easily make a break for exit from there. I would take the GameStop approach and just have empty cases for all games out on the lobby
