My Windows Pixel Matrix Look Great and Why

Adding four new pixel matrixes to my show layout was a bold move considering how many pixels are already in my show. Tonight affirmed my decision to do this. The video really doesn't capture how great this prop looks. Gilbert Engineering USA continues to make the best coro props with Impression Series and Gskinz for every holiday lighting occasion.
The key to making the colors pop and not wash out when using dense matrices is keeping the brightness low and experimenting with gamma which can be set in xLights or at the controller. I recommend setting it in xLights.
Spec:
2,160 12v pixels and coro matrix from Gilbert Engineering USA
Kulp Lights K128D-B controller
Two Kulp Receivers w MeanWell 12v 350w Power Supplies
Video recorded on DJI Pocket 2

Hey Ron. It sound's like you're saying 10% gamma to something 0. I have my garage matrix set to 1.9 in fpp but it still looks terrible. Are you saying yours is set to 10?
@xTremeSequences
@xTremeSequences 8 месяцев назад
No. My brightness was at 10%. Gamma is something one should adjust until it looks good on your home.

cool, are you using one single data line to the falcon? or using more than 1 output?
@xTremeSequences
@xTremeSequences Год назад
I'm running six outputs (360 pixes per) for the larger matrix from a Kulp K32 controller. The same on the other side of the home with smaller matrices using four ports.

@@xTremeSequences 😁 better safe than sorry right? or is it another reason?
@xTremeSequences
@xTremeSequences Год назад
@@deverostv5046 I'm not sure what you mean. Putting 360 12v pixels on one output? Perhaps, you are assuming I power inject. I have never power injected my show. I've never needed to.

Do you apply gamma correction to your entire show or just to this prop?
@xTremeSequences
@xTremeSequences Год назад
For Halloween I applied Gamma 2.0 to all pixel props. For Christmas I left the windows pixel matrices at 2.0 but everything else is gamma 1
