@@gozer825 yeah, would love to see Klay take over a series, warriors big 3 getting older but still seem to have enough fuel to be good for quite a bit longer
@@Deathz991 did klay have to give him his kobe autographed treasure? no, he didn't. klay didn't have to take him for a ride in the whip. klay didn't have to take the kid out for ice cream. klay saw this opportunity and did MORE than he had to.
@@liquidator13 yeah the point is, Deathz is insinuating that Klay was forced to play nice. How do we know if Klay felt pressure or was totally down for the cause? we dont. Insinuating that Klay only did it because he HAD to is pointless and does nothing for everyone. especially if the person insinuating it hasn't done anything comparable in their whole life.
I’m a cancer survivor of 6 years now. Active and thriving. Prayers and wishing Joseph and Klay, good health. I grew up in the bay, and have been a warriors fan for 40 years. Klay is such an exemplary person, and half of the best shooting guards duo of all time. Humble, authentic and just, the coolest dude. What a legend! Go warriors!
@@uncledrewyt thank you so much! I have the best oncologist and am now, fit again, surfing, running, cycling, etc. A huge part of recovery is eating healthy and a good support system of family n friends. And encouragement from people like you
Klay is where he is today due to his extreme self confidence in his ablity whilst maintaining the utmost humility. An amazing basketball player but even a better person. Prayers up to Joseph🙏🏾
I was expecting Klay to be awesome and down to earth , but then he gave his own Kobe photo and that was just something else. How is humanly possible to hate this guy?!
keep fighting, Joseph! you're a good kid who'll do great in the future. props to Klay, a great basketball player and an even better person outside the court.
@@Benny-zs7kr He’s good in spirit! Unfortunately his checkup this week showed relapse so going into therapy again for the second time. We appreciate all the prayers!
Years ago I was diagnosed with ALL type of blood cancer and I was placed in a room with another kid but he had the AML type of blood cancer. We got to know each other and he was able to fight through it and is now in remission. I hope this kid stays healthy and Klay is awesome for making him smile after tough years.
I’m not an emotional person rarely cry. This video brought tears to my eyes. Tears of happiness tears of sadness. Klay is also my favorite SG. I love that he picked Klay
This guy is one of the best people on earth, and it's no mistake that all of his warrior teammates are the same quality of human being. Steph and Draymond are both awesome people as well, and the culture of the Warriors all starts and ends with Steve Kerr
They are the best group of guys on one team I've ever seen, kind of funny how in an interview Steve Kerr said the culture of the organization begins and ends with Steph because of his personality and humble spirit and that's why they not only choose players who fit with them talent wise they also need to have Steph-like traits about them, that says so much about their franchise🙌🏽
@@jetagaban7904 I wanted to say more but I chose to say just few words. With your reply and noting your name, I want you to know that my heart cries for Joseph and family (I assume you are one). I lost my son to cancer and I was the primary hospice care giver. Keep hope alive and trust in Him who gives and takes away but come what may, it’s for the good of those who love Him. (Romans 8:28)
Sadly Joseph cancer came back a week after this highlight event in his life! Unfortunately he wasn’t able to go back home to tell his friends about Klay because he was admitted in Seattle Children’s hospital and began the treatment right away. The second journey of his relapse was way harder than the first. He had a brain hemorrhage after the chemotherapy treatment was finished. He had to learn how to walk again and his vision was affected. To date he can’t play basketball yet because of his stability due to a double vision from the brain injury. Nonetheless he is managing his basketball team.
Klay is just the perfect Role model, and just perfect human! Bruh he came to Acorn housing project and handed out Christmas present two years ago he didn’t even record it 💯
This dude is amazing on and off the court. I love how he was so relaxed, like he was with a relative. And guess what... he will be better next year. Good luck rest of the league
Beautiful kid raised by a beautiful family. Way to show up, Klay! He just wanted to meet you, but he was told by you that he had a beautiful and clean jumper. He'll never forget this!
At the beginning, 0:35 that girl #33 on the other team is a hero too. He stole the ball from her and she still stopped, picked up his glasses, and ran him down to give him his glasses back so he could make the game winning shot on her! Lol
I love Klay for taking the time out to spend with Joseph who is also a great person, This made tears come to my eyes which is not easy to do. Thank you Klay and Joseph, sending prayers your way.
Honestly NBA players meeting or spending time on their fans was nice and special but for a fan meeting their favorite NBA Players was like one of the happiest at unforgettable moments of their life. I loved this because Klay Thompson spent a long time getting to know the kid for a whole day unlike others just signing and taking a picture and that's it but this oh my spending time with your favorite NBA player and doing cool things and eating together was priceless. Thank you Klay Thompson and great thing the kid survived on his sickness. God bless you all dude.
My eyes started watering as soon as Dad described the call he got. As a parent I can't imagine going through something like that with a kid. But I'm so glad he survived and that he got to meet Klay. I'll wipe my nose and dry my eyes now.
Joseph is a Warrior. Will always be a Warrior. Can’t imagine how much he and his family had to dig deep. During the dark times. Glad he is healthy. What an awesome day for him.
I cried watching this. I wish peace, blessings and good health to Joseph and his family. My cousin succumbed to leukemia before she could go to high school. She was gifted Beyonce concert tickets. I took her. We didn't meet Beyonce, but it was a great night, nonetheless. She grinned ear to ear listening to "Irreplaceable." It's awesome that Joseph got to meet Klay and Klay give Joseph the Kobe-autographed photo. That's huge! Klay loved Kobe. Klay's dad and fellow NBA champion, Mychal, said Klay really wanted to talk to Kobe during his rehab, but sadly couldn't. It's great that Klay could inspire Joseph. Amazing memories for that young man!
That was awesome Joseph glad one of your wishes or dreams you got to meet klay wow,I'm so glad for you we pray over here in Brooklyn ny coney Island that you continue to be well stay strong and keep that smile and your head up high.god bless you and family.
WOW! So happy for the kid, not because he met Klay - it's a bonus - but he survived cancer. F cancer. BTW, a typical Klay's choice of vehicle. You would think he'd own a Ferrarri.
Nothing but respect for Klay. The autographed photo of Kobe is priceless and such an uplifting gesture. I hope you get better Joseph. My brother was also getting treated in Seattle last year. Keep your head up man! To anyone in this thread who is dealing with cancer or has a loved one dealing with cancer I wish you all happiness, good health and more time spent with your loved ones.
Klay Thompson, you're a class act, and a "beautiful" human being. In and out of sports, you are an inspiration. Keep up the good work, and more power to you!
ESPN made my cry twice today. the people calling in on Greeny's show and what Klay did. Cancer took a beautiful you lady from this world that made everyone smile. I knew she was special when I met her but I didn't know that she would have a place in my heart forever. I only got to spend a couple of years with her but it felt like a lifetime. If you are reading this and have a loved one with cancer, please give them a hug for me and my sweet Audrey. I love you all
Amazing piece. We need more of this in our world. Klay just gifted this kid with a priceless experience that will last him for the rest of his life. SPECIAL.
cancer sucks!! i lost my 16 year old cousin to osteosarcoma. i still miss her everyday, she was my little sister more than a cousin. she had her life ahead of her, a drummer in her little band, adventurous wild soul whom we adore so much. it was gut-wrenching seeing her life slowly eaten by cancer. prayers to Joseph and the entire Tagaban family!
Hey Klay, really fulfilling Joseph's dream is fabulous, and remembering Kobe(King of the basketball court) all the time on all platforms you get a chance is, I don't have words, is very humbling, that's definitely a class act! You're really humble and great athlete inside out! Keep up the good work, block all the noises and don't allow to change your attitude.
Klay that was a sweet video. Not only did you make Joseph wish come true, you showed us all the down-to-earth good heart you have. I heard it in your voice.
