But if you really think about it, how many would be able to recognise those programmes over Postman Pat. I'm not saying people don't remember them, all three of them are clearly well remembered and very fondly remembered. But compared to Postman Pat, they're not as iconic. I think that's why Postman Pat was the one to get countless revamps.
@@thomaswalsh8726 The same could be said for the Bumper Films stuff. The reason as to why Fireman Sam has been revamped countless times is because he's an iconic figure, and the characters of Sam, Naughty Norman, etc, were all remembered fondly by the people who worked on the revamps due to them watching the programme as children. When you ask someone who Fireman Sam is, they'll be able to tell you straight away. When you ask someone who the Starhill Ponies are, or who Joshua Jones is, they'll look at you like you've grown another set of lips.
It’s a shame there was only one series of Charlie Chalk as perhaps viewers didn’t like it perhaps which as we know apart from us a lot of people get terrified of clowns even The Joker as he also gave Vicki Vale a fright which she really was very screamy in the film and I will see the new Joker film as are you a fan of The Joker and Batman?
Entertainment Rights? More like Entertainment Wrongs/J But in seriousness, this is pretty cool. I was wondering if the 1990s specials were released on DVD and now I know so thanks for that!
Oh, I'd thought you'd have that DVD. It was released a long time back in 2011, to celebrate the 30th anniversary. Yes, the original specials keep their original theme music intact, thankfully!
@@bazbanter9329 ah, I see. The only DVD of OG Pat I currently have it Postman Pat In A Muddle, but I might try and see if I can find the others sometime
Well, glad I could be of some help. As I've said I highly recommend 'Happy Birthday Pat' for having all of the original specials with no music changes and the DVD has most of the Cosgrove Hall specials too except for 'Magic Christmas'.
