I am so stoked with how my office has turned out! It's so essential to have a space that you feel comfortable in, especially for long hours of work. Let me know what you think!!!
You’re a freaking good RU-vidr!!! This was one of the best office tours I’ve seen in a long long time 🙌🏼. Spat out my drink when your new chair collapsed on you 🤣.
@@Chris_Palmer It's my second go around at working from home. I used to be a freelance graphic designer so worked from home for years. Then I got a "real job" working at an office, but that's turned into a work from home job in the last year - so I'm back working from home - love it!
@@peterfigasinski Oh nice! Yeah once Covid hit everyone in the vfx/animation industry started working from home. Some studios have gone back to the office but I am working from the house for as long as I can! I love it!
office looks great. for your desk wall I would definitely keep it minimal, maybe add 1 shelf with some interesting (motivating) art (some of that hidden starwars from the closet) and definitely some greenery! The greenery will help your mental wellbeing in general and while working when it is in view (look up the studies on this). Also it will contrast the blue nicely and conform with the other greenery in the room.
Ooooh you gave me such wonderful ideas for my den/office! I have a small like 7x9 den space I am gonna turn into an office and I been wracking my mind trying to figure out a color design and theme and I got to say I dig the color 👀👍🏻 I might have to go with something similar. I am a huge visual personal but I got to have things minimal and clutter free though so there's a clash ha ha but I definitely am taking notes. I like the chair quite a lot.
That is amazing! I am so happy to hear that! Getting your space just how you want it takes time for sure! This took me a year to nail down and I am still adding to it hahaha. I hope the video gave you some good ideas! The chair is amazing I love it and fits perfectly in the space and just looks so cool!
@@Chris_Palmer ☺ Thank you so much!! I been working and saving for nearly 2 years now and finally landed at a good place to be more creative and design my own spaces so I am super excited!! That means a lot :) Ooh a year nice! Well worth it for sure :D and the video gave me a ton of great ideas! I love the storage cabinet you got and the shelving! I am so glad the chair has been working out, it really does look cool!! I agree 😄
@@piplup10203854 I am so excited for you! Once you start getting your space into a place that you are happy with, you will love it! I have a link to the cabinet in the description if you want to take a look. Its been great and its not too big either! Perfect for keeping things tidy! Let me know if there is any information I can pass alone to hep you out!
@@Chris_Palmer Thank you so much!! I move into it in exactly one month from today!! I cannot wait to start setting things up and enjoying the process of making the space work for me. Ooh thank you!! :D I shall go take a look at the description then for a link, much appreciated! Thank you again, that is very kind of you! Thank you for sharing your space and ideas :D
Thank you so much! Oh man that's awesome!! You should totally do it! Haha I think I need to change up my toys soon...I have too many to display all at once haha
Thank you so much! Glad you liked the room and the video! Yeah this chair is amazing! I love it! I completely agree with you its great for long hours of work.
Love it! This popped up in my feed, that gorgeous blue caught my eye, and I clicked just hoping I could find out the paint color. Currently redoing a room in our house that I was going to just leave with white walls cause I hate the dance of picking out a color…so thank you for doing the work for me! And thanks for stating the paint color name-I’ll be picking up a sample this weekend. Your new office looks amazing.
Hey! Thank you so much! I am glad I could help with the paint color that is so wonderful to hear!!! I absolutely love the color and it just makes my office that more cozy for me. You will love it!
Here is the link to the sideboard if you need it! They also have a larger size if you want something bigger. www.article.com/product/15169/seno-walnut-48-sideboard?
wouldnt it be better to upgrade monitors as well? they seem old, and really small, one 34'' display or two, 27'' paired with monitor arms would do better job, along with some lightbar
Oh yeah that is on the list to upgrade in the future! However this set up works for me at this moment and having a updated monitor does not hinder me from doing my job or my photography. I need two monitors for work so one would not be that great for me. The monitor arms are something I am for sure getting in the future but again, not having them doesn't hinder me. Also I do have a light bar on my monitors. However you are right...those monitor are old hahaha
Thank you so much!! It's extremely satisfying to see what you had pictured in your head come to life. I'm excited for you! I hope this video gave you some ideas!
Love the production quality! Would you mind sharing the distance from the wall behind your monitor to the opposite wall with the shelves? I’m also planning out my room and would love to know the measurements for reference!
Thank you so much! Oh that is so exciting that you are building out your office as well!!!! Sure thing, it is 8 feet 6 inches from the wall behind my computer to the alcove wall behind my desk. But I do have some funky wall out cropping's that cut into my flat wall space which made it a challenge to find the right items to fit in the office
@@Casuallycollecting I don't think there is an exact link to the planks that I bought, I had to go into Home Depot and pick out the straightest boards I could find in their lumber department. If you dont have a Home Depot near you, any lumber yard or home improvement store which sells lumber should have them. I would highly suggest you look at the boards and make sure they are not bowed or damaged in person. Mine were slightly bowed but I knew that I could flatten them out when I mounted them. I ended up getting two solid White Oak boards 2 inches thick, 7.25 inches wide and I had them cut down to 4ft 8in long. I hope that helps?
