Thank you Lee for sharing your Airbnb experience at the crack house I hope this type of experiences reach many travelers out there because I find Airbnb unsafe & unreliable
I was gonna ask "Why would you?" but you admit it's 100% your fault. Sucks, bro. But some lessons are best learned the hard way. At least now you've got some great drinking stories.
As a native of Seattle for over 40+ years, it really sad to see the city I grew up turn into a complete shit hole. Yes, it was once a beautiful and safe city. The city politicians, BLM and Antifa rioters have completely destroyed the moral fabric of the city. CHAZ/CHOP was a reflection and culmination of all that is wrong with the city now. I rarely go out in the city. It's embarrassing and disgusting but fortunately I am retiring soon and will be spending my money elsewhere and possibly looking into expatriation. I traveled to over 45+ countries and most countries are much safer and cleaner now than my hometown. Your experience is exactly how I feel about Seattle now but at least you get to easily leave. In some ways, America is becoming third world while many third world countries are becoming developed. My retirement income will go far.
Also, why would you leave your valuables in that unlocked, shady, dangerous room with the disgruntled roommate? Why not just take them with you, place them in ypur car trunk, or leave them with your girlfriend's aunt? i do not understand your decision making, buddy.
Thank you!!! I freaking love you for this video. I live in Seattle and you’re absolutely correct about our local government and what a shit hole our city has become.
Lol...just found your channel recently and this video. As a Seattlelite, i hate to inform you that the city is still in a free dive to anarchy. Preparing for my escape...hope to see u out in BKK soon.
The place looks cheap but the weeds weren't that bad in the yard, the "outhouse where they maybe shoot illegal porn" looks like an ordinary tool shed to me and of course if you are sharing the kitchen there might be an open cereal box or dirty dishes, LOL. How much did you pay? That would have been an interested detail to know. I wasn't there so i can't comment on the smell but it didn't look as bad as you described as you can't tell by the outside if a house is a crack house. You'd be surprised at some posh looking places, where these transactions also take place. It just looked like a suburb, ordinary house to me (still not the type oif place i would ever rent as an AirBnB, but not the super dangerous place you described). Dealing with other people sharing the apartment now ... why, oh why would anybody want to do that?
ex military here from phil. by the way im rajaan , bro ive been amazed with how you can manage to do some video editing hope i can do what you are doing i wish i can have atleast GoPro to save my video..😥😥
Im staying at one currently. Just got locked out cause the keypad wasbt working and the host wasnt answering her phone. She has airconditioning on the listing but only allows us to use it for 2 hours. And only allows 8 minute showers? I have looong very curly hair so thats an issue. She also doesnt allow any eatung in the room which is fine but the rrom is the only place im used to eating at. She seems really nice though other than that so lets see how it goes 🥺
People as natural are good and bad(or worst) especially with this day and age due to social media, MSM, Hollywood, personality issues, etc.. Forget bad things since long term they don't matter anyways, and move on and focus on positive.
I too would be terribly upset if I experienced an Airbnb stay like yours but to be this harsh on Seattle seems unfair. Many locals don't like going to Capitol Hill much since its more grimy compared to other Seattle Neighborhoods. Even worse now due to the recent events. It's a cool place to hang out in small doses. I think it would've been best if you chose a spot in Belltown, Ballard, Freemont, or Queen Anne. You literally picked the worse place to stay in Seattle lmao.
Lol..he bows to you!! There's times in my life crazy stuff i can't control has happened to me or around me. At the time it's scary or offensive or it makes me mad but later it becomes a funny experience. I wouldn't say the shitty BNB is your fault, it sounds like a fast way for lazy people to make money. If you pay 100 bucks a night or 1 dollar a night you deserve to be safe and have all the facts of what you are walking into up front. I don't mind if the place is dirty if they told you up front it's dirty.
I think your response and reaction to the airbnb is valid. The airbnb host did not seem accommodating. But just keep in mind, that type of environment is home to a lot of people. Its offensive saying its a crack house, when a lot of normal people's homes do look like that. Not everyone can afford gardeners, cleaners, etc. Yes, you can do it yourself, but you never know what someone's situation is. They could be elderly or disabled, etc. Just think of this as a good deed. You helped someone pay their mortgage or bills with the money you used to book that airbnb.
And? It’s an Airbnb so they should sort their shit out. Stop making excuses for them, it’s pathetic. You’re a shining example of this snowflake society we live in nowadays, can’t say anything in case it offends someone. If someone was going around stabbing people, you would defend them saying oh but you don’t know what their situation is you can’t judge them, blah blah blah.
And not everyone can afford cleaners or gardeners?! Hahaha what sort of an excuse is that!? How about they get off their lazy asses and clean the fucking place themselves!
Sustained rage, especially when publicized, is expressive of a self righteous, narcissistic ego. An evenly calibrated moral compass is either afforded, or it isn’t. Illicit drug use commonly is regarded to be some type of moral deficiency of it’s own. Morality is a way of measuring how individuals treat one another, not themselves. Religious & political indoctrination deliberately blur these truths to sustain control.
I find it important to note that when the reverse is true and u get overly conservative cities, it can and WILL turn into equal amounts of a shitehole just like what happened here. No matter where u are, no matter where ur from, no matter what you believe in: its never a good thing to be a radical, same goes for government. Great editing and story telling btw, shit had me dying when u explained the homeless dude bowing to you. Subbed
First off, that AirBnb sounds horrendous. I'm grateful that I've only had one negative Airbnb experience out of about 9 in the last 3 years. Secondly, what you say about liberal cities shows you lack understanding. It's not an insult. Just an observation that I make of a lot of people who say things that are similar. I'm not going to go into a long diatribe here, but of you understood the 'whys', you'd have a more complete comprehension of the overall picture.
Seattle has a very big homeless problem, obviously. A lot of them have mental issues though, I wouldn't say fuck that guy maybe he just had some issues going on in his head and he was just doing what he thought would be normal. I wouldn't say he was trying to be racist towards you, but I wasn't there that's just my opinion from an outsiders perspective
