I sailed in December the day before the port was delayed due to bad weather. Sail away and scarlet night was brought inside but we still did the entire cruise…8D/7N.
When i cruised with them back in March this year we had terrible weather the day we were supposed to dock in Bimini. Even during the previous day which was Sea Day. We got to bimini but couldn't dock. They added a sea day but it was still super bad. We still had a great time. They refunded the port fees and added a 30 min free champagne around noon. Great video.
Was your room ready right away? Reason I asked is because I’m seeing some bringing their luggage on? Also, how will we know our muster location? Does the video or tablet tell us at the end?
The room was ready right away. And, luggage delivery is pretty quick too. Any luggage you bring onboard needs to fit through the X-ray machine. Your muster station will appear on the app, on the tablet, and on the TV.
That has to be the worst, being awake to watch the ship return to Miami. It seems like you made some great new buddies. Hopefully it will last far beyond this sailing. Thanks for sharing.
I enjoyed that voyage as much as any. Fortunately, my flight was late enough that I appreciated seeing the arrival to Miami with sun overhead. At least it had stopped raining! Every cruise you meet fun people. I try to keep in touch with alot of them.
@@brian_at_sea was just curious. I wasn’t sure if because of the change in ports. I thought you lost a port on the cruise and maybe they would make it up. Not saying they had to. Was just curious. I have seen virgin give a lot of goodwill when things don’t go as planned on their cruises
Credit was added to the onboard account for (missed) port fees. And The Beach Club in Bimini is my favorite stop in the Caribbean, but I would not have wanted to be there in the high winds and rain we experienced.
