I recently just bought a WR250R with 10k miles on it. I'm super excited to start riding the trails near me. I'm very fortunate to live in the Rocky Mountains.
Congrats dude! You will look back and forget all the sucky parts and remember the great parts. Thanks for taking us along for the ride and sharing. That was an awesome journey!
Brilliant series Tom, enjoyed it muchly! Very impressed with the tough little WR, it did a great job, and you can't blame it for chucking a little wobbly and dropping it's bum end after carting all that gear through those tracks (and over many other trips, too). At least the engine didn't detonate! Looking forward to the next one...
Nice one Tom & the Boys Glad no injuries & able all to come home safely. Boy that was a huge trip. Thanks for taking us along. Look forward for more adventures Cheers
Thank you for sharing another epic adventure with us Tom. I'm so glad you were able to recover your lost SD cards, it would have been a shame to lose that much footage. You've inspired me to buy a crf300l and attempt a similar adventure here in the states. Hope you all do another trip soon! Cheers mate
I’ve watched all your adventures series before but I think this might be my favourite so far! The company you had and all the shit that went down was great as a viewer, well done Tom 🤙🏻
Goodday Tom, well dun and a fantastic adventure one you will always remember hop to catch up with you on the next WR250 rally again .this time fill you tank up before the coffee 😂😂😂😂
Fantastic adventure Tom. You have inspired me to purchase a WR250R and I managed to get a low km bike which I love and that’s all thanks to you. Looking forward to the next trip. From NZ
Really enjoyed the whole series mate. LMAO of @ 3 x 4L yamalube. I think we can all relate to doubling up with something at one time or another. THe WR250R is a solid robust trooper albeit the subframe broke. But it was never meant for that load / rough terrain riding lol. Nice to see it repaired and strengthened.
Awesome trip. It’s been great to follow it. Not sure if anyone has mentioned it but regarding the subframe. Most likely earlier in the trip, an impact or constant vibration has caused the damage and over time has caused it to break. Anyway, who cares. Still better than a KTM690 haha
Congrats to all it was amazing to watch & thank you for sharing your experience, now I’m going to watch them back to back with a couple of 101 wild turkeys 👍👍
Thank you for sharing your adventures Tom, you have left me inspired once again, except this time I'm not going to attempt the Macca's drive through one a litre bike 😉
What a good series 👏 got me through my night shift week lol thanks for a wicked adventure Tom now to start narbs series Yew look fowed to the next episode
Welcome back to Victoria, Tom. Great series with heaps of stories- you should do a post-trip video with any relevant updates like your ankle and how JoeyJoJo is going. East-West overland trip 2023…?
Guyra and Armidale are famous for "black ice".........particularly half way at Black Mountain. The New England Highway is not a fun drive.........all the Brisbane/Melbourne trucks go inland to Goondiwindi and down through Dubbo........not as cold, no ice on the road.........no mountain ranges etc. I dont know how that sub frame lasted this long..........its done a LOT of off road km's. Tom now has enough Yamalube to do Paris to Peking.
*I bloody love how much luggage you managed to attatch to your WR* ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Please can I ask what bags you used ? I’d love an overnight camp on my CRF450RX
Tom your helmet is a Shoei Hornet right? Can't be too sure if it's the current model or the previous one but have you looked into getting a photochromic visor for it? Ideal for these kind of trips!
