Great addition to the scoot. As soon as I purchased my Burgman, I placed a Wolo Bad Boy air horn next to my ignition under the front console. 118 dB.. I had a hell of a time finding an area to place it. It's definitely better than what they had as stock.. I had to avoided the wheel well area. I had mine originally located to the top of the front fork. Everytime I hit a bump, it whacked the horn..
I think there was another video of mine that I made using a different horn this shows the wiring, If it helps any the existing horn wires from the switch were used, You have to use a relay and run a separate HOT (RED) 8guage wire directly to the battery.
Yes that was my problem, I was not real happy I wanted that air horn but it wasn't going to happen so I just kept looking around and thinking about it, now I am all set.....
Just came by this vid and wondering if you can take any questions. I have read the comments and are aware you do not own the scooter any more. I just have a quik q or two.
great horn, I shall get some for mine as I spend 75% of my time on rush hour freeway. It would've been useful to us lunk-heads who need to see what wires you hooked onto...thanks much!
Very well done but, any particular reason why you didn't just change the horns using the same wiring? It would be nice to find a video step by step on how to install a cigarette lighter so that we can keep the Satnav on charge all the time via USB
I had to use different wiring because of the new horns and the current draw. I did install a cig plug, sorry no videos but I used the power from the horns supply, I ran a separate hot wire from the battery. I do not own the bike anymore, I bought a Honda Silverwing soon after. Thank you for watching
I don't own the scoot anymore, I would check the horn relay, it's under the screen/hood area. I don't think there was one because it was small and didn't draw enough current to require one.
