My Youngest Takes on His First Ultra Marathon Challenge | 4x4x48 Endurance Run for Charity | Diary Of The Runpreneur 1412/4292

Join us as we gear up for an epic challenge just ten weeks away - the 4x4x48 Ultra Marathon, aiming to raise at least £10,000 for Safe Haven for Caitlin. In this episode, I introduce my youngest son, James, who will be participating in his own unique way. Despite his age, James's determination to contribute to this meaningful cause is truly inspiring.
We'll dive into what the 4x4x48 challenge entails, a grueling test of endurance set by former Navy SEAL David Goggins. While it's unrealistic (and unsafe) for a nine-year-old to run 48 miles in 48 hours, James has crafted a formidable challenge for himself. He will be running two separate 4-mile runs each day, totalling 16 miles over two days.
This journey is all about pushing our limits, both physically and mentally, to support Safe Haven for Caitlin. The funds we raise will go towards providing much-needed care, physiotherapy, and support for Caitlin, a brave ten-year-old girl battling Batten's disease, a terminal condition. Every step we take aims to make her life a bit more comfortable and filled with moments of joy.
