As a GRC analyst (but also former 11b SSG) I CRINGED when you said you kept clicking the attachment🥶 (liken this to pushing a bunch of non combat MOSs thru the qual range, but good correction on spot. Sounds like a BS hacker if they wanted your money or virtual life it couldve been ALOT WORST Thank God. Internal analyst should hv caught this acording to the ISO or RMF.

No worries about this with most of us getting scammed, really. As an old guy I don't even have a twitter account. I consider twitter as "everything that is wrong with FB". When you do a part of your livelihood with all this that you've explained it is a HUGE kick in the d!ck when something like this happens. So glad all this panned out in your favor, really. This kind of cross-tell of information with experiences and lessons learned is also HUGE for the rest of us! Great stuff here troop!

It seems to me, for an account with 2fa enabled, a 2fa challenge should be required during the transaction to change sensitive information even for an account that's already logged in.

I was about to say that the bad guy might have installed the client remote desktop on your machine when you clicked a doc .exe file. They connect to your machine, and remote controls your PC, but then you already mentioned it. I am really happy that you got your account back.

Sir could I get your email? I’ve got a question about reporting to Ranger school day zero. On Attrs it say you have until 1300 to report NLT, I was just wondering how strict they are on that because I’m having a hard time getting a flight on time.

The only issue I have is the earliest flight I can get the day of would make me late for reporting. So I’m trying to talk my S4 into letting me fly the day before, but they act like it’s not going to get approved. Budget stuff you get the idea. Sorry for the silly questions here. Modern technology is great when things are honest and proper but for old school guys like me i learned from others mistakes or lets say misfortunes which alot of people my age or older will never understand the way or the world online meaning how others scam you.Prime example other nations have effected our political out comes to so.....
