I wish I could speak to this Lady, I am an ex firefighter, this has just been suggested to me after 14 years of symptoms and being told it all in my head. The lack of support makes you feel like it's not worth living anymore.
It really does, it makes it a million times harder not having a support system. You start to believe you’re insane but really your body is going against you more and more until diagnosis. The only thing we can do is keep going and pray God helps us get the treatment we need. It’s been 10 years I have a positive ANA and still no diagnosis. My doctors are convinced it is MG but the general antibodies show up negative. I need him to test the LPR4
I told my neurologist I was having trouble swallowing and he sent in a speech therapy person who coached me as if I just needed pointers on how to swallow properly...as if I had just forgotten and needed a reminder.
I wish there was some kind of accountability for doctors who dismiss women as being too emotional or just needing to take some midol when they try to get help for the real symptoms and real issues that are severely impeding their lives. At some point you just give up trying to get help because you know no one will listen or believe you …. :(
Drs. Can’t determine what’s happening until a lab test provides everything. I was diagnosed with multiple neuropathy but I doubt it bcoz my right eye started getting smaller than the normal size. I have difficulty swallowing like what I chewed don’t pass easily with my esophagus I needed water to pushed it down. Weakness and tightness of my legs and arms. Cant walk properly m. Been like this for 2 yrs plus now.😔
Me too. Hugs. I’ve felt pain for 10 years. My right eye is tiny and my right eyebrow is lower. I have all the symptoms of mg and mt doctors keep pointing to this. But none of my tests will come up positive except ANA 1:640 positive. I feel like giving up. It’s so hard
My neurologist tested my muscle strength. I tried as hard as I could to resist his hold and couldn't. He wrote in my report that he questioned my effort. Completely useless. Waste of my time and money.
