Nice view... I can see how the milo seems to promote substrate propagation better, while whole oat appears better for promoting aerial propagation. Have you studied which substrate has faster nutrient decay?
I love the time lapse videos! I was wondering if you have ever or know what the results would be if you mixed two DIFFERENT types of cube mycelium in the same tub? GT and B+ for example. Just thinking outside the box. I have too much inoculated grain of two different species and can't see the problem with dumping them into one large tub, but your input is always appreciated.
They're both going to end up growing but what's really going to happen is they will battle each other for dominance and one mycelium network will end up fruiting more then the other. You just might get 50 50 in both fruits, but they will certainly battle for dominance . try it out!
@@albertgonzales2592 Thank you, The more potent strain would not win out then, It would be the strongest one. Still no merger of the two. That's what I was thinking could be possible at the time I posed the question. LOL.
Are those little bits of grain stuck and not colonized on the walls of the bag a problem? I also have this but in jars and I don't know if it's not the fault of some bacteria maybe?
@@rollerstennis I think you might have wet spot. Does it have an awful smell where it is wet? Wet spot can live through the sterilization process. It is a type of slime mold.
Hi! I have a question, I'm using jar with seab bird. Sometimes, I have the mycelium colonizing my jar at a good pace and then suddenly it stop colonizing it. It's like the pace is so slow, Im not even sure it's still colonizing the jar. Would you know the reason by any chance?
