Fox News hosts Steve Doocy, Brian Kilmeade and Ainsley Earhardt learn about their ethnicity and family history after taking the MyHeritage DNA test. Results are revealed by Yvette Corporon, author of "Something Beautiful Happened"
If Walians in the tiny country of Wales (who look similar to Basque) say Celts are interlopers, then what of the rest of the UK? No, Europeans, from much larger countries, are not all the same.
@Violence T.V No we are not, there are Celts, Scandinavians, Britons, Francs, Slavs, Anglo-Saxon, Latins, Magyar and a few more. All different ethnicities.
You have to forgive the White Americans, unfortunately they think about Europe the same way Native Black Americans think about Africa. Because of the Americanized racial matrix we grew up in, we dont break things down to Ethnic Group/Tribe in foreign lands.
DONT SNITCH MEDIA Yes because Norwegians are virtually indistinguishable from Italians in looks. Baltic people look generally much more Scandinavian/northern European, whereas Balkan people tend to be much darker, Mediterranean looking. Yes it’s all arbitrarily Europe, but let’s not pretend the general (and of course we are generalising) appearance of Bulgarians are exactly the same as the general appearance of a Lithuanian.
"A whole bunch of other things?"...... We can all SEE that it's just 3 things. One of which is CLEARLY the middle east. But oh... we don't want to talk about that, huh?
Remy Mafia Arabian peninsula to be exact. "Middle East" is neither a geographic, cultural nor a genetic label. It's a geopolitical label. using the term "Middle Eastern DNA" is like saying having DNA from the "European Union" or from "the former Soviet" . It's useless semantics
This guy not recognising Baltics from Balkans and calling both places "Russia" should not work in the news withouth basic geography and history knowledge. Baltics have been persecuted by Russian Empire, calling them Russians is disrespectful and racist (they are Balts, meanwhile Russians are Slavs and Russian Empire wanted to assimilate Balts)
@@dt6822 genetics doesn't apply to lingual theory like balto-slavic. Also, estonian language even doesn't belong to that balto-slavic lingual group. Lithuanian and latvian languages are closer to spannish or iranian languages but genetically not even close. Language and genetics are 2 completely different things. Also baltic and slavic languages are very different.
She got the whole region including Israel and it makes more sense to be Israel because of the crusades and the fact that Christian’s live their and not in Saudi Arabia
@@chaimlevin125 that’s true but my heritage messes up a lot so she either might not even have those 1.6 percent of 0.8.. but even if she did if she was from israel that should show up as Jewish or atleast get that of some sort
@@Hi-el5qd not necessarily, there were a lot of Europeans in Israel since the time of the Greeks, Roman’s, and crusaders which even included people from Britain.
Why does that one follow keep saying "Russia" when he hears Baltic or Balkans. That's like crying out "British" when he hears India. But many Americans to this day don't know the difference between Soviet Union and Russia, or Russian Federation and Russia. Or like thinking England means Britain.
Yeah, Baltics ain't the Balkans and the Baltics have nothing to do with Russians. In fact the Baltic countries and Russia don't really get a long so well since the Russians came in after WWII and then killed or shipped in boxcars and made flee hundreds of thousands of Baltic people and stole their homes, belongings and property. It is a bit shocking that people supposed to be delivering news on world affairs, especially with everyone going on these days with Putin, don't know this basic stuff still.
In fairness there is not one country in Europe let alone the world that doesn't have baggage within its history. Whilst you rightly mention the horrible actions of the Soviet Union after WW2, you've left out that people within them countries happily worked under Communism and before WW2 parts of the Balkans actually sided with Hitler like Croatia for example or the many people who under occupation happily first worked with the Nazi's and afterwards with the Soviets. Its ironic that at one time many in the Balkans saw the Soviets as liberators with the dislike coming afterwards especially in the modern era with the rise of many Nationalistic far right political party's especially in the ex Communist countries of Eastern Europe.
Hey black is beautiful and she is beautiful👍 But on a serious note I recently found I had 22% European and 1% Asian but you can't tell by looking at me so I was surprised but we all are mixed with something
Not only her face, but what she said :"So Hayden can get a scholarship?!"- That made her ugly. That shows that she thinks that the black experience is all about free rides. She's an idiot, no more deserving of a welcome for being a sliver black, than any other white person would be by the Native American community, for being a sliver Native. Usually when they're just a sliver of something else anyway, it's due to rape during slavery/invasion.
It's probably not Saudi Arabian...these dna tests just lump the Middle East together and don't account for the different ethnicities in M.E. I noticed she desperately wanted it to be Jerusalem or Bethlehem...ha! I'm guessing it is really either Lebanon or Syria. What surprised me is that she got the Sierra Leone result. We all have African ancestors, but since these dna tests only go back about 500 years, it means her black ancestor was more recent...which means the white supremacists won't be happy about it...lol. And fuck her for saying the scholarship thing, so ignorant and disgusting...typical racist dumb Faux News bimbo.
Our family has been doing our DNA / Genealogy also. Especially for our daughter in law who was adopted. This month she got a 1st cousin DNA Match and is now in contact with her birth family.
"Me too"!???? One was "Balkan" and the other, "Baltic"! Totally different places. When the guy said, "don't say Russia".....and they didn't, though NW Russia (not to mention the Finnish bit), are all on the Baltic Sea and many a war has been had for the rights to that sea, especially between Peter the Great and King Charles of Sweden, in the early 1700's. The other male in the trio, "Balkan", meaning the former Yugoslavia, Romania, Bulgaria and even Greece, in part, is no where in any way connected to the "Baltic"! If these are the people the GOP is getting their news from and opinions, from, yet do not know or hear the difference between those 2 words/locations.....I cannot imagine what other balderdash comes out of their mouths on a daily basis. Go back to school, boys!
well if anybody would be shocked to hear they have a small percentage of something that looks nothing like them imagine if a black guy heard he was 4% Russian or a Indian person hearing they're 8% German ya feel me
A large percentage of persons of African decent have European, middle Eastern ancestry etc. West Indians, Caribbeans, African Americans due to the slave trade. Nothing would be shocking about learning that truth as a black person. The shock would be a white person learning they have more black lineage than they thought.. Like "blond hair" lady learning she has Sierra Leone (West African) tucked neatly away in her lineaage...ROFL
As the French sociologist Emmanuel Todd wrote in his book "The destiny of immigrants", immigrants in the U.S. are just assimilated by the "Anglo" majority becoming "Anglos" same way as immigrants from all the Worl become "Hispanic" in Argentina or "Luso" in Brazil.
Ahora ya Nobody becoming "Hispanic" in latinoamerica. We don't use that word, that is USA word to give to people from latinoamerica and espain. Even if we think "hispano" that relates to spaniards from europa
Beverly Ritter Wrong. He had 12.7% 3+ more regions which Spain, Eastern Europe and the Middle East was highlighted. So it was probably mostly Eastern European and Spanish since Europeans are mixed with themselves with just a few percent Middle East present. Not 12% North African and Middle Eastern.
Roble Yusuf Yes, but North African DNA in Spain averages 5% and in Portugal it averages 7%. The Middle Eastern ancestry averages 3% in Spain and 5% in Portugal. Combined average MENA (Middle East North Africa) in Spaniards is around 8% and 12% in Portuguese. Spaniards on average are 92% European and Portuguese 88% European. But nearly all people in the world have admixture of some sort in at least some percentage. Southern Europeans have a small amount of MENA admixture, but Northern Europeans have a small amount of ancient Siberian admixture. All people have some kind of admixture. Middle Easterners average from 3% to 16% Sub-Saharan African admixture, but are still 84%-97% Caucasoid. Here, let me show you an admixture chart for some world populations: 1.bp.blogspot.com/-Oa3bBts6e3M/Ur6VH_81tpI/AAAAAAAAAUI/JGoPs1UmWyA/s1600/Lazaridis2014_EDF3_K6.png
Did she just say someone can get a scholarship what did she think the new deal was for folks like her family getting help from the government. Why don’t she mention that!
I believe the "one drop rule" has been abolished in all states by now. Really just bc someone has an indigenous Native American, African or whatever ancestor does not mean they are Native American, African or other ethnicity. It just means they had an ancestor that was & they received some of their DNA in some way. What ancestry a person is 'mostly' is mostly what they are. Going back 500 yrs or more, all these ppls mixed bc of ppl migrating to better climates & more fertile land.
I believe that has been abolished. PPL are mostly whatever the majority of their ancestry is. Just bc your gtgtgtgrandfather was a Cherokee Native American does not mean you are a Cherokee Indian. Just means you had a Cherokee ancestor. Possible you did not receive any of his DNA.
We don't inherit all our ancestors DNA. Our DNA contains a record of our ancestors but the mix of DNA we inherit is unique to each of us. We receive 50% of our DNA from each parent, who received 50% of theirs from each parent, & so on...The amount of DNA we receive from a particular ancestor decreases over generations. Go back far enough, there's a chance you inherited no DNA from a particular ancestor. Genetic inheritance is random & siblings inherit different DNA.
Balkan is Not Prussia. Prussia was partly Poland and Lithuania and some other regions at the Baltic Sea belonged to Prussia - one of the German “kingdoms”. Balkan is South Europe
The good thing about this is from now on there won't be any more secrets; women won't be able to lie about WHO the father is, parents won't lie to the kids they adopted etc because they know it can be revealed. So there won't be any more shocked dad's out there
The first guy keeps interrupting the guest as she was trying to explain! Why bother inviting people on for their expertise if you’re going to talk over them!! 🙄
Alot of the irish married Italians in the North. East in late 1800s and early 1900s. Coming from both Catholic backgrounds which was shunned by the wasps (anglos ).
Neither of which are unique or exclusive to Europeans. I am sure you have seen the pictures of blond pygmies in Africa and blond Aboriginals, Fair skin is found all over Asia. No need to have European ancestry for either
Syrians are blond too 😭😭. Blond hair and light eyes are not exclusive to Europe and those traits certainly didn't originate there and are not unique to Europeans! There are aboriginal people who have blond hair, it's a different type of mutation than the one from Caucasians, there are Asians with blond hair and light eyes too. Again not related to Caucasians at all.
I have taken another dna test and was and wasn't surprised. My grandmother came to US in 1908 from Denmark. I just ordered this test, maybe I can find something out about her dad. Fingers crossed. I know these tests do point you in direction of family members since I do genealogy. Plus had a sister and brother do the test, reason, just because you are sister and brother your dna will match enough to know you are siblings, but each one of us may show additional heritage, in my case I showed no jewish blood, but it showed my sister's and brother's test. Plus we can't find out where a line of family came from they just show up in Virginia in the 1700's, folklore says from the Mediterranean, which might be since all our dna shows the caucaus region......never do dna or genealogy unless you are ready for surprises.........
I read where this lady said her niece & her husband were both Geneticists & they said these commercial DNA tests are not accurate. There is a Commercial Lab called CRIGenetics started by some Geneticists. Only Geneticists work in their labs.
He looks Scandinavian. He looks like an older version of Alexander Skarsgard. And she is definitely Scandinavian too. But why do they always say scandinavians are blonde? they have brunettes too. Most the vikings DYED their hair blonde.
The Irish didn't have red hair until the Vikings raided. They did more than pillage. Actually they settled in Ireland, too. Dublin was founded by the Vikings.
bill mill But, in the west of Ireland, where there were no Viking settlements, the population has darker hair. The dark hair makes the blue eyes very striking, an attractive look. Is red hair prominent in Wales?
It's just as "surprising" when black supremacists SJW's start crying because they are 30% European or something. So now they lose their black privilege. Fool.
@@mikelx191 Yes but geographic position also means closest to North Africa, which occasionally show in some Ibarians autosomal DNA. Also Spain and Portugal have a history or Moorish and Arab and Sephardic Jewish presence and also it show occasionally on some of their DNA. Portugal also has the odd minor Sub Saharan admixture here and there. Slight but it happens. Take it from a partly Iberian dude.

Allesandro ... caucasus is the area around the black sea..ie russia, georgia etc.... the area in the highlighted area on hte video for brian is covering north west africa and the arab area. i.e iraq, syria etc... you can clearly see it in the video
Lmao y'all are so fucking offended. They read it because the results are so low or uncertain that they can basically not confirm if they're true or not.. Not everything is "muh anti-POC" lmao.. Also, they read the woman's "middle east" part, so there goes that argument out the window.
Inker del Palacios; I5 was your kind that came up with the "one drop rule" so live with it !!Also any percentage would mean some kind of "intermingling" ! , a fact !.
LOL! She has just a little African ancestry. She is mostly White. She looks White. Don't think "one drop rule" exists anymore. Most ppl are not concerned about that. Nothing wrong in having African ancestry.
Most whites are somewhat taken aback when they discover sub Saharan DNA she glossed over it like she hoped no one heard. She rather talk about her dead ancestors who carried dead Thomas Jefferson. Her reaction was like when you stumble in a room full of people and yoi act like you didn't
Stella viura Fox News is the only valid news source. They report the facts of what is occurring in the world. Mainstream Media report what they're told to. Never reporting the good things such as economic growth, taxes lowered, Trump looking out for our American economy. The Left mainstream Media is only dedicated to falsifying the Trump Administration bc they are "Globalists." The NWO Globalist Elite want & plan to usurp our Constitutional Republic bc the old wealthy ruling families of the past feel they have a 'right' to rule the world. Most of the "Elite" are Luciferians & believe they are descended from him. These ppl are spoken of in Revelation in Scripture where it speaks of a "One World Government & a "One World Religion." Notice how Pope Francis says he wants a "One World Religion?" He says all religions lead to eternal life. He may be "The False Prophet" Revelation speaks of. These Globalist Luciferian Elite (Pope Francis is rumored to be member of the 9th Gate, a Satanic group) will be the ones that are crying out to the rocks to fall on them hiding them from Jesus when He returns to judge mankind & establish His literal kingdom on earth.
Marc G I didn't take it that way. I think you are just reading into it the wrong way. To me she just looked surprised because she had no idea it was there, not that she was thinking sinister thoughts. I don't accuse if I don't have proof.
I have student friends from Saudi, Syria and Lebanon and they have lighter skin than Ainsley and Brian. They look indistinguishable from the average brunette European. The Caucasoid race first evolved in the the Middle East( Eastern Mediterranean). The earliest civilisation in the world being Sumerian who invented the wheel. As a northern European I wouldn't have any concerns about having middle Eastern DNA. Only islamophobes hate them and try to make them non Caucasoid. Its sad that people are so misinformed and ignorant.
@@guleet75 Yes, i have met many personally. Many Gulf Arabs have fair skin. I've even met Gulf Arabs with light brown hair and blue eyes. Don't forget many Gulf Arabs came from the Mediterranean as nomadic tribes centuries ago. I would say most full blooded Arabs just look like Greek or Italian people. The majority are dark haired though. I have also met black Arabs that look like Somalia or Sudanese students.
@@davidwinner6926 That is very unusual ! And they came from the dessert in the Levant region ie The Iraqi or Syrian dessert , Not the Mediterranean Sea board where Levant Arabs ie Libanese Palestinians and Syrians live !! Arabs from the Gulf Region tend to have dark hair and brown eyes , Not fair skin and Blonde Hair or green/blue eyes , While Fair skin and blue or green eyes is common in the Levant Arabs , I think those Arabs you saw have some Levantine Ancestry !!!
@@davidwinner6926 Some folks could use a history lesson. Arabs expanded into the middle east from the east not the west. Many Greeks and Italians are dark because of the Arab expansion into their lands not the other way around. For centuries, Vikings kidnapped and sold Slavic women as concubines and sex slaves to the Arab upper classes in the Middle east. As the Islamic empires expanded into the Balkans, the demand for Slavic women for harems became so great that it is reported that whole villages were left bereft women of child bearing age. This influx of Slavic genes is now dominant in the Gulf upper and middle classes. however the majority of the gulf peasantry does not share these traits. They have maintained their Bedouin features, hair textures and dark completions.
I highly doubt his swedish immigrant ancestors were illiterate in 1910's. A 7 year long mandatory education became the norm in Norway from the 1890's and I can guarantee that the same was true for Sweden. Even before that, most people recieved some sort of education in reading along with their Christian confirmation education. The immigrant officials who recieved them on Ellis Island back in the time were known to anglicize their names because they were foreign and difficult though, and that's likely the explanation for the difference in spelling.
Still most immigrants in the 1910 could only write their names. Even if his Swedish ancestors had been educated in Sweden, it does not mean they were literate in English. They may at best known how to write only a few English words or not been able to read more than a simple memorized phrase in English. This would make them functionally illiterate in the united states.
Here's what probably happened: by the time of the Crusades, the Arabs have had an extensive trade network throughout North Africa. It's possible that a trader took an African, brought him or her back to the Middle East, and intermingled with him or her. They had kids. Then the Crusades happened, and one of the Crusaders took a wife from that region, and brought her back to Europe. Successive generations later, and you have Ainsley Earhardt.
Here's what probably happened, Some slave owner in South Carolina raped a mixed race enslaved woman from Virginia or Louisiana and produced a child light enough to pass for white. When that child became older they either ran away and went somewhere and lived as a white person or slavery ended and they went away and lived as a white person and successive generations later you have Ainsley

I don't know how they specify Irish in particular in the USA when geneticists in Europe say the Irish, Welsh and Scots are too genetically close to distinguish from each other.
My AncestryDNA didn’t distinguish between them until about two or three months ago. 25% English, 19% Scot, 14% Welsh and 6% Irish. The rest of me is 32% Scandinavian with 4% German.

I did my own DNA Test and it was Great!! A lot was not surprising (100% European), but there is 4.4% Balkan, 1% Ashkenazi Jewish, 25% Scandinavian, 17.2% Iberian, 14.3% British & Irish; 33.6% North & West European, and 4.5% Italian. I'm enjoying meeting relatives, and tracing my family back to the 1600's in Virginia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, etc. I found that Patrick Henry and Martha Washington (George's wife, Martha Daindrige Custis) is in my family tree - just not a direct ancestor. It's well worth the money spent!
itsameAlex, I would think it would list Greek as "Greek" - not lumped in with "Italian". I also don't think it is included with the term "Balkan". It's interesting! (I will be contacting MyHeritage.com about that.) The inclusion of Balkan in my DNA test was a surprise, since almost all of my family has come to the U.S. in the 1609 to 1799 time frame.
Michael Nikprelaj, No, it only gives "Balkan". I would be interested in knowing more specifically which it is, whether it be Albanian, Serbian, Bosnian, etc.)! :-) I'm going to ask if there would be any way of knowing.

I have Powhatan (Pocahontas) and Moytoy , coming up ,in numerous DNA matches, I have 0.235% American Indian the 0.235% would reflect the fact she was born 1595, then married Rolfe and moved to England> so if its 350-400 years back the DNA will be extremely low ! I suggest joining the FTDNA Am Indian groups , or Somerset dna group I found out by accidently joining what I thought was the Somerset England DNA group ! but it was the American Somerset ! they sent me an analysis saying I had 0.235% American Indian ! and through the SUrnames matching on dna matches I'v since seen the Pattern of Powhatan , Rolfe, Poythress (Pocahontas's granddaughter) MoyToy (Am Ind. Royal family) etc. still not 100% sure of lines but have recently discovered MANY Mayflower ancestors so might be there , anyway it connects with Somerset / Devon ancestors

Yes but there was also a large native tribal African population living in the area when the British relocated its Diaspora Africans to the area. The Mehndi, the Tembi and the lemba. The lemba have Jewish DNA so that may be the origin of her middle eastern ancestry
