That north wind is called Meltemi......it will blow a full beer off your table! The interesting thing about Mykonos......part of the Cyclades.....is that it feels like you're in the center of the world! I went there in the 80s to early 90s.....before they went on the Euro......about the time the movie 'Summer Lovers' was filmed......it was just like that movie and I think I met some of the characters from that movie! Remember that back then there were no computers and smart phones......so you entertained yourself with live music, singing, dancing, drinking, and conversation!

I love your videos! Great advice - I arrived in Mykonos at 2 in the afternoon and was gone by 10. Too touristy, not even close being the prettiest island, terrible service and so expensive. Not for me!
Not for you but certainly for most other people. Mykonos is gorgeous and offers everything at top quality and design. It's no accident is one of the top destinations worlwide

People used to sleep in the area actually occupied by Scorpyos in caves or simply among the rocks, the sun still sets behind these rocks but the landscape has been wasted

Question: I'm flying from Atlanta on Xmas Eve. I'm unvacced, but I will be getting a negative covid test to enter. Do I need a test/vacc docs to catch a ferry to Santorini or Myk? And are restaurants asking you for your documents every time you enter a location? I'd hate to have to purchase a test every other day just to enjoy my 2 week vacation? Thanks alot. Lastly, is English heavily spoken in Greece, besides Greek of course.
My husband and I have a work trip to Athens. We have one day & one night to visit one other island! Which would you recommend for our first visit and only one day?
That’s tough cause your time frame is very narrow. If you want to see something unique visit Santorini by plane in order to save some time. Some beautiful islands close to Athens (2-4 hours by ferry) are Kythnos, Syros, Andros, Serifos, Sifnos and Milos. Less famous but even closer to Athens are Poros, Aigina and Agkistri. Not that glamourous as the previous but totally worth it for your time frame.
I paid 30 euro but that was only because I was there 2-3 days before the end of the season (so end of September) normally during the season I think it's about 120 euro
@damian Zuniga I am here now. Per hotel there is only 32 taxi's. You need to pre-arrange ride services. Chances are slim that you will find a available taxi.
