Shows the Mylaps X2 Transponder in Rechargeable mode and how the lights should react when the transponder is working or not working. Describes the techniques to correct a problem in the transponder.
Really very helpful video buddy. Had some problems with my transponder not working on my first race day few weeks ago and your trick of bending the little prongs on the race key has worked a treat. Thank you!
My race key is blue while plugged into computer while trying to reload my subscription which I already paid for. Not allowing me to activate the transponder, no idea why the race key isn’t reading 😊
With a hardwired X2 transponder, when the power is turned on the racekey goes through its startup sequence and then blicks green then goes out. The transponder blinks red 1 per sec. Is the transponder working? I thought it was supposed to be green.
That is a good sign. Blinks red slowly till the internal battery is fully charged. Even though using Direct Power, the internal battery gets charged when you power up.
YES, With the latest firmware updates, when you power on the direct power, the light on the stem of the transponder will blink slow red until the internal battery of the transponder has a full charge. Full charge is not needed for Direct Power and your transponder is immediately transmitting a signal.
In the MyLaps Connect It says Race key Defect I have bought a subscription but whenever I go to my Laps connect it says RaceKey Defect the first light is green middle is orange and the end is flashing red any idea if I can fix this?
That is a failed Race Key. See if you can borrow a key from another racer or contact mylaps to see if that transponder is still under warranty. If you have kept a subscription going, Mylaps will replace it with the new TR2 for free.
Three Red Lights are an indication of a failed Race Key. You can try to use a different USB cable but 90% of the time, this indicates the Race Key has failed. Have to borrow a race key from another racer to get through the race.
number 1 light is green, middle one orange and last one blinking red, all while the transponder is blinking red quickly. But if i log into MyLaps all 3 lights turn blue instead
Sounds like you may need to add more time to your subscription then run the Mylaps Connect software to reprogram the EXP DATE to your transponder. Once done, that center light will be green. When you are logged in, all lights will turn blue, like you mentioned. That is the norm.
