Thank you for your videos on this! I am almost 58 and I've always had a problem with doing heavy weights, it does bulk me up especially in bum and legs. I started TAM metamorphosis hipcentric, and I can see a little difference after about 7 sessions and feel better. I can't do the hard jumping so I've bene power walking 3 miles 3 or more times a week when I can. Your videos are inspiring and genuine!

Thanks again for the transparency Rachel! Congratulations on the new job🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳! The key definitely is to keep keeping on even if you make mistakes or you back slide a little. I can definitely relate! I’m back to intermediate again (thank God) after having to return to beginner simply due to prioritising my health and well-being second to my career and turning to food in every situation. These past few months, I’ve really realised the importance of balance and how success really stems from relationships! Food, wealth and the pleasures of the world may provide temporary satisfaction but it will not sate the insatiable thirst and hunger for something deeper. Personally for me, since developing a closer relationship with the Lord and serving at church, I have found myself free from a lot of the poor habits I struggled with prior. I have built new connections, become a person who perseveres instead of running away in the face of challenges, have learnt not to be easily offended and to show love (or forgiveness) to those who have hurt or annoyed me. Funnily enough, I fast intermittently without intending to daily because I have began to fast weekly for my own spiritual development. All these things have transformed how I see myself and my health. I hope despite the mishaps that you can continue to grow and see great results in all areas of your life! Have a blessed week x

It’s because of YOU that I decided to take the TA plunge and commit for 60 days and now in a couple months I’ll be hitting my 1yr mark!! If I ever think 🧐 twice about doing something else I reflect on the reason I started and got away from the gym/weights. This is what’s meant for me and my life in this period. I now eat more intuitively, my health markers have improved and mentally game changer as I’m definitely more present then a “fart in a skillet” 😂. Thank you again Rachel~just know how much some of us are grateful for your content! P.S. Debating about MyMode myself hmm 🤔 💕 👸

Thank you so much for sharing!!! I’m going on a vacation in a month with my husband and beautiful friends. My body is a hot mess…..I’m 50 yrs old…..I run, spin, workout to BB, etc. I tried on bathing suits yesterday and wanted to cry. I’m desperate!! I thought about starting the TA online. But, after watching your RU-vid videos…..I’m going back to the basics….metamorphosis basics….today!! I love how you mentioned being mindful when eating too!! I feel like I eat just to eat/stress eat. Thank you so much again!! You have inspired me!!!❤

I think I’ll be taking your approach. Recently, I just decided to not drink at all for a while and it’s only validating my decision more to stay on the minimal drinking path. My sleep is better, anxiety down, feeling better - an upward spiral. So comforting to hear your experience has been similar to mine.

Your honesty is admirable, you are holding yourself accountable and that’s huge. But also extend yourself some grace. In terms of sugar I have found it triggers my inflammation and wrecks me for days. I stay low sugar and gluten free and when I want a drink Kyla Hard Kombucha is really good, especially the lavender flavor.

You’re keeping it real Rachel 👍🏻. 90 percent is diet 10 percent exercise imo. 1-Keep your booze down. Since I had brain surgery I gave up booze. Have maybe a half a drink every couple weeks. I lost 10 lbs! It’s like your’re detoxing during the day and toxins your results at HH. Just do your thing and don’t let others guilt you into a drink. 2- Don’t phone in your exercise time, focus! I see it in my barre class I see the girls who’ve gone for years no change, but they’re phoning it in not really working thru the exercise and not eating well. Love your honesty you’re a strong woman❤️

I’m glad TA is changing up her moves finally to include large muscles. I’ve been alternating Beginner/Meta/Mat with strength workouts and getting results I haven’t from just doing TAM, so you just have to figure out what works for you and your lifestyle. I made it to level 9! (omnicentric) I'm with you on the mindless eating. My results have stalled and I've been tempted to stray to another workout but I stuck with it! I think I might do another round of meta but abcentric this time and pull back on the cardio. I've noticed an increase in hunger these last few levels and remember you talked about that happening before. Thanks again for your sharing your perspective! Always appreciate your insight! Congrats on the new job!

Thank you, Lor!!!! To get through Meta is a MAJOR accomplishment. As great as dance cardio is, finding the balance is a challenge. When I do it a lot, I look leaner but really toe the line on that bottomless pit hunger. Which is where walking as an alternative really helps. I think it will be a constant dance (ha, ha) for me to figure out what balance is. Not that you are asking for advice, but don't be discouraged, just keep going and adjust on what your inner knowing tells you.

Love this video! Being 10 weeks post partum, my plan is to start with her post natal video then move to her 30 day series from her book then meta with the same dedication you have shown with it! Before I was pregnant I dabbled with online studio, meta, and her 30 day program and I definitely enjoyed her old content a lot more. Not to mention my wallet enjoyed it too ;) The new equipment looks neat but it's intriguing that for years she has denounced traditional workout methods and the new equipment looks like traditional workout equipment just fancified.

You know what I've done instead of Tracy's dance cardio is made a playlist of dance routines from this guy on RU-vid "The Fitness Marshall" and I find I take fewer breaks (probably because it's a little easier than a full half hour of jumping 😅) and want to do the workouts longer because it's an actual routine to a real song. He's a little Richard Simmons-y but I always feel like I have a smile on my face at the end and it just feels like less of a struggle overall. Haha totally unrelated but I've wanted to share for a while.

Rachel. You look fantastic here. Like a Bond girl. Your arms look tight! You inspired me to try online studio and I’m loving it and getting great results in the intermediate lane. Would I go back to my Meta dvd? No way: Meta is too hard: those reps!! 😫 Seriously, if I ever need to stop streaming I know that I have enough dvd content to keep rotating indefinitely and feel confident that I’ll still get great results. As for Mymode, I had a moment of FOMO, but I’m nowhere near maximising my intermediate workouts yet and I feel my results so far are ‘next level’ compared to my old HIIT and heavy weights workouts. I’ll watch Mymode with interest though. Think I’ll have to join instagram so I can follow some Tammers; the lady you linked was fab! I feel you with the drinking. We usually only drink alcohol at the weekend, but this tends to slide during the summer holidays. We’ll get back to normal next week when my son gets back to school.

I LOVE MyMode so much!!! The program is very custom. I can email my coach anytime with feedback about the training plan she has me change every 7-10 days. This week I have 3 days MyMode Refresh (Intermediate) + 30 minutes Peak (Advanced 2) which is 1 hour 15 minutes total , 2 days Intermediate mat + 30 minutes Dance Cardio 1.5 hours + 2 days just Refresh (Intermediate) 45 minutes I was a able to swap some days if I wanted to try Tracy's MyMode live class. That was amazing and fun! This a sample of what a person could be prescribed based on your fitness level and goals:)

HI! This video is great... my Tracey Anderson addiction is with the 30 Day method.. when I do it 100% it actually does work! Its the first thing that has ever consistenly helped my body. The issue here is my commitment... I get burned out sometimes because of the lack of community. I had signed up for the Tracey Anderson studio last year... and I was disappointed by the lack of live classes from Tracey... For me.. she's the draw because of her conviction. I look completely different and everyone asks me what I am doing . . . when I repeat the 30 day method over and over.. . fortunately I have done 18 years of ballet... so I know how to hold my body for the maximum effects. I really like your video! Happy Easter.... Le'ts connect...

First just want to say I love hearing about your process, the real nitty gritty process not just certain versions of success. Also for me movement is usually focused on my non-scale goals--reduces/eliminates lower back and hip pain while sitting for work, helps with my anxiety and ADHD, feel more grounded and settled, helps me move through stress response instead of holding it in my body. I am dipping my toe back into meta. I was doing beginning lane online (side note they have added occasionally added a beginner with a trainer cueing). I will say it is interesting returning to Meta and feeling the moves differently though dang wrists getting a much harder workout. I have also dipped my toe into exploring P. Volve--it's no impact workouts focusing on similar goals to TA but I will say their cueing is really helping me understand some of the movements in TA in terms of wrapping etc. And yes the truth is TA is a boutique brand for sure, my partner passed me while I was watching the MyMode ad and he was like that looks like a $30 trip to Lowe's. I mean it is in fact the broom handle chair technique refined. It was wild in comparison when I saw the streaming fee for P. Volve is I think about $100/year and that includes unlimited access to their live classes. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, process, and taking time to make this content. Hope you are feeling better after going through COVID.

I soOoOoOO want the new gadgets from TA but I'm clearly not in her target audience with that price! I finally drank the Kool aid and got Meta and am on day 7 I think...it was tough, even with being in the intermediate lane like you said, but each day is easier. I still feel accomplished and agree I probably won't see major changes, but having that time (and money) back is a bonus right now. I can see where the no engaging part comes in...I know the moves so well now, so the mind wanders to whatever. It'll be a discipline just like meditation I guess. As for the drinking, yep on all that. I go through phases myself, but try to stick with hard stuff without sugar (only benefit is no sugar 🤣) but then notice weight loss stalls, mood often tanks, etc. Boundaries are a perfect way to handle it besides just abstaining completely (which I've done both before). I'm anxious to hear about doing continuity as well. Thanks for another video! ❤️❤️❤️

Belle, interesting post, thanks! I’m a big believer that most workouts should not be repeated as often as TAM suggests - because then you’re doing repetitive motion which generally is not so good for joints ( and in my case, tendons!). I mix it up and limit TAM to twice a week, throwing in variety of mild/mod cardio another 2x a week. Our bodies LIKE variety! Tendon injuries are from my younger tennis days and an overzealous gym trainer 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

I would love to try MyMode...Alas, I don't fit the financial demographic that she's targeting with her price point and I just wouldn't pay that. Honestly, it looks like a fancy broom handle with a ball socket joint and some weights. I can't say I don't drink, but I'd say I can count on one hand the number of drinks I have in one year. Honestly, I think its saved me health-wise - physically and mentally. The folks I know who consume a lot of alcohol just to be social even if it's not daily or weekly .... lets just say they have a lot more health issues. It is awkward socially sometimes. I've tipped bartenders very well to give me water with a damn cherry so it would look like I'm drinking. But, at this age, now I'm just like "no, lets go for a walk" or we do something else. You can do more social things than drink. You can be that friend they do a yoga class with and then get an awesome salad with afterwards. That said, I agree TAM is for me. I did it pre-metamorphisis and got results, fell off the wagon, did some meta, fell off the wagon, and now I'm back with online. I know going forward I'll vacillate between meta and online. Meta for me is hammering my physique into the shape I want, online adds in those fluidity and balance moves which are so key. Side note - your hair and skin look flawless! Whatever you're doing is working. Gorgeous darling! Sending love and luck!

Love your hybrid of meta and online studio and description of it. And thank you for the compliments! I am really practicing curling my hair and building that skill which is building my confidence. I always categorized myself on “not being good with hair” and working to disrupt that. It just takes practice is what I’m realizing! Hope your weekend is going well and thank you for your insight as always ❤️

Hi Rachel!!👏👏 I just finished metamorphosis. I thought the last workout #9 was hard. I repeated it again just to get better at it. Just started continuity. It’s HARD. But I love it. The cost of her new program and accessories are INSANE. Hard pass. I’ll stick with her classics. I stopped drinking 8 years ago. I was a daily wine drinker. I decided to not drink for a month, and decided to not go back to it. Social situations are less awkward as you go along, because people no longer ask about it.

Ronnie!!! What an achievement! I love that we are working on the same timeline here as I have JUST started Continuity a few days ago. Which centric are you doing? You have me inspired with your experience on ending drinking. I cannot get over how much better I feel from abstaining! And I’m with you - hard pass!

I'm a pretty petite person and was only drinking wine a few times a week. Even with that, I was getting a beer belly. After I cut out alcohol, my belly shrank a little. Now, I have no desire to drink alcohol at all even when I'm around it and I'm offer it for free. No caffeine, no alcohol. No upping and then no downing.

Im so glad you said Level 1 of meta is HARD.. I've been doing it for 4 weeks and thinking I'm a huge wimp because I can't make it through, I'm still only at half the reps. When do you give up and move to level 2 or will I stay level 1 until I can actually do it as fast as she does it? Any advice?
@RundownwithRachel
@RundownwithRachel Год назад
Hey Christy! I would move on to the next level after completing the workout 10 times. Sometimes that would take 2 weeks other times 3! Then other times I would just make the decision to move on even if I didn’t complete 10 times.

I love TA at times and other times I struggle because she just seems out of touch with everyday people. The cost of everything is so expensive. She responded to me on Instagram at one point promising more affordable TA clothing which sounded awesome and I was thankful she read what people were saying but that never materialized. So it was yet another let down. I understand why people say the cost breakdown covers XYZ but $90 a month for her streaming isn’t affordable at all for me so I stick to her older dvds and try to go to the gym which only costs me $10 a month. I feel like an after thought because I can’t just throw money at her programs, products, etc.

I think you look pretty amazing. What kind of results are your "ideal" version if I may ask..just curious. I've been lifting heavy at the gym for a year and seen some good "results"..but you know I just didn't feel like all of my muscles were getting worked out..I felt tight but a little "bulky" and basically not myself..was very skeptical about trying TA but pleasantly surprised that it engages so many smaller muscles that get ignored at the gym..I'm just curious do we all have a "design" as Tracy says or is it just some image of ourselves we're wanting to see..not sure if this is making sense
@RundownwithRachel

I was also so pleasantly surprised! I’m so glad you found TA and I know just what you mean! I tend to gain weight on my midsection and arms. When I do Tracy consistently, I find it “slims me” all over without putting strain on my body. Although Tracy seems to position it as though anyone who follows her design will look like her, I think everyone has there own version of that design…because let’s face it genetics is a big component. At least in my opinion!

She does 6 week challenges and is free on RU-vid - this may be what you are craving to change it up a bit. I fell in love with TA because of the consistency that I had from Caroline’s workouts. Continuity is 20 reps. So Meta is like an induction phase. I found out when doing any of the Methods offerings we should moving onto the next sequence every 10 days. So if you only do 8 of 10 days then move on. This coming from Ask Maria. It has to do with the brain and muscle memory. The way you get results is by way of frequency. The more days you do of the 10 day sequence the more pay off the muscle design. It’s misconception that Meta is for beginners. Nothing is beginner with the Method and I have heard advance lane people say that beginners is not beginners. With the Method there are places to begin but where will be based on the individuals needs. I talked to the trainers about My Mode. I asked who is My Mode really for? Everything that the company offers is made to be like belonging to one of the in-person studios. My Mode has been tested for at least 7 years. It was offered in private session to clients as a customized program. My Mode is for anyone who’s familiar with the Method and the Online Studio. I interpret My Mode as want and not a need. Though there will be exception to those who need it. Such as athlete that has maxed out on the online content or person who has an injury who would do better with the support of equipment and My Coach. I am seeing allot of anxiety about My Mode. I’ve been reminding others that what’s in the forefront has its draw backs such as not being ironed out like Meta, Continuity or Online Studio.

So helpful! I agree that the beginner lane in Online studio is not just for beginners. I have done advanced, do intermediate if I have time and body feels it, but I really find the best results for my body if I do beginner 5 days a week. I did Meta like many of us but the high reps just did not agree with my body. I had overuse injuries and never made it past 90 d despite several attempts. I like how quickly online studio moves through the moves. Can’t even begin to justly the cost of MyMode.
@ConsistencyWins444

@@KateKay28 The way that I have been thinking of My Mode is like the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch is an accessory/ enhancement to the iPhone. Online Studio is analogous to the iPhone and an My Mode is analogous to the Apple Watch. The Apple Watch can't do very much as a stand alone product. It's best features come from co-existing with iPhone. Once I started thinking of it that ways I could manage the cost at time that's appropriate for me.😊
