We're seniors and appreciate the video, which is easier to see than the product instructions. Although we didn't complete the installation as quickly as depicted by the agile young woman in the video, we did eventually get it done. Plus, we counted it as our yoga session for the day.
They make it look way too easy I was wondering the same thing myself! They don't show all this other stuff involved. I would have to drill a hole in the side of the vanity to put the tubing in there to the hot water supply. At first I thought I'll just use cold but in the winter time let me tell you the water is freezing!
Why are they showing the install with Teflon tape? The plumber's tape is used when sealing pipe fittings with pipe thread joints without any compression. Plumber's tape should not be used on compression fittings because doing so keeps the rubber washer never to be met with the pressure that's needed to compress tight to seal the fitting.
Is there a maximum distance from the hot water source? In my powder room the toilet is in front of the sink; not far but I would have to run the hot water hose through the floor
Hey Michel, there is no max distance. We provide 6ft of hot water tubing in the box but if your hot water source is farther away and you need more tubing please contact customer service and they will help you out (support@myomigo.com)
This doesn't fit on my seat, the connectors won't fit in the holes of the 'adjustable mounting brackets' don't have a place for my seat screws to get in there. You need to say that you require a certain kind of seat. At 1:41 this becomes impossible for me.
I’m blind and trying to figure out how hard it is to install these, especially the dual temp one. Where are the actual instructions? This is disappointing.
The video is good but I prefer a person talking because the music is way too cheesy lol. They don't show you the part where you can't get those nuts off with your hand and you're just hand tightening them. And where is this hot water thing?? I only see one intake in there and it's for cold.
@wackoguywatch : Yep -- I can see why "ams914" was confused, though, because the video is somewhat misleading and is designed to make the process look simpler than it is.
They've mentioned on-demand warm water. This would mean, water would be heated through the passageway like the Insta-hot, hot water tank. Maybe there's a small heating element built-in?
