Me and Blodhgarm have been hard at work on this mod that extends the maximum player count to 16!
This still uses remote play or parsec, but make sure to read the workshop description for more setup info.

@@Petalb_rrythat’s why there aren’t any slugcats. Gourmand led them into the facility grounds to consume Pebbles’ brain, but I guess he killed all of them because we don’t see any slugcats in his superstructure during Monk/Survivor’s campaigns.

The shelter at the end reminded me of when as a kid you mushed together a bunch of different colored Play-Doh snakes.

There's a discord server on the workshop page you can join if you're looking for groups! The official rain world discord server also often has people looking to play

Where are you finding that many people? That many chairs? Doesn’t Rainworld only have local co-op?

You can use steam remote play or parsec to simulate local co-op, though it's not the most stable
