I got the new v2 Mysa thermostat and it connected to my 2.4/5 ghz mesh Wi-Fi just fine. They either fixed it or my router is smarter. Just fyi for those who buy the v2
Would this be ideal for a property rental if you are not in the same city? Would I need to be connected to the apartment wifi in order to control the settings remotely?
Do you know of a remote control for a 220 volt baseboard that does not have a thermostat. I installed electric heaters after the fact. So unless I do major surgery on my bedroom wall, all I have is a thermostat knob on the baseboard itself
How did you get 220 out of your pannel when you only turned off one single pole breaker each breaker only puts out 120 a phase so would you have to have two separate breakers on a different phase
I like this thermostat. I just installed fujitsu heat pumps in my house because my house was all electric. I kept all the baseboards as a backup heat. My fujitsus heat all the way down to -15 f. But you never know. One thing I hated about my baseboards was my electric bill. The baseboards would always stay on.
I got mine today and it only has 3 wires, there's no green ground wire coming out of the mysa. Did they change it or are there two models to choose to buy? I didn't see any options for different models when I bought it.
My wifi worked perfectly it does not show a 2.4 or 5 ghz using Google home mesh install and setup 15 minutes (before I switched to Google Wifi I had the same problems setting up 2.4 ghz only items like Ring and Neato. I would always use an old touch pad to setup them it was only 2.4 ghz.
Thanks for the review! I have this question: our baseboards are on dual fuel, meaning that when demand is high our power company will turn off the baseboard heat and we switch to our gas furnace. Will Mysa be confused by having intermittent power outages, or will it be able to recover gracefully? Thanks!
I asked Mysa what if i turn off cable and i internet to save money, and they replied you can still always use up/down controls on the device to control it. But as another user said, it has no on device programming, all of that resides on their server. Rheem made a mess out of the Econet UI , but Mysa's seems pretty strong.
That's not true, as long as the thermostat is connected to the internet when you create the schedule, the thermostat will download it, store it & follow.
There is no "Neutral" in your 220V box. A standard wire pair comes in black and in white, which does not always mean the white wire is the Neutral. In the 220V setup, both, the black and the white wire carry 110V, together giving you 220V. Please be correct in wiring instructions! Otherwise very informative vid. Thanks for doing it.
I just hooked these up today... yeah that “neutral” with the 220v started to throw me too-along with that one leg for the load lol.. (I guess it’s only switching one leg..) so it was basically black wire of the line L1, {and if you’re dealing with white wires,} tie both line/load wires together for L2, and obviously the remaining black load wire to the load on the device... ... and thanks for the heads up on that Wi-Fi frequency debacle.. it saved the client a few hours of ripping their hairs out lol
