The old MySpace was infinitely better than what you showed. A person could have themes, apps, music playing. It really was awesome

It was called MySpace for a reason. We got to customize our own profiles and we learned coding by doing so. 😅

To me, the 2012 version was the downfall.

I remember the exact time when I was lost interest in MySpace. It was summer of 09. MySpace started bugging about "try MySpace 2.0" As soon as MySpace changed from that mostly blue theme to the black theme which made the website move soooooo slooooow, I left. Sad. MySpace was what got me into social media.

It died in 2012 I was a freshman and everyone was talking about how Facebook is the new thing

I remember MySpace back when I wasn't on the internet.

I switched to Facebook when I went to college, which was around 2007-2008. I logged on again 5 years ago downloaded some of my old photos and deleted my account.

2005-2008 is how i remembered it. seeing my mom online all of the time

For me once 09 hit and FB came out myspace was dead and gone. But from 06 to 08 was the best.

Well duh MySpace was dead by 2006. We all switched to FB around then. Back then there wasn’t 10 major social media companies so whichever was better ppl flocked to. It wasn’t really a big thing to have multiple accounts across several platforms. This is why you tend to see older ppl only limit themselves to one social media account typically via FB cuz they didn’t care enough to try other apps cuz FB fulfills all their needs as far as social media goes
