Well, this was my first ever entry into a scoring competition and it was a blast. This actually was a lot more difficult than I though it was going to be. I've now learned that scoring to film can be very challenging. Learning to match the tempo of the clip as well as the whirlwind of emotions the characters experience all in just 2 minutes is tough. However, after mulling over some ideas for about a day I was able to get into a flow and finish in one sitting.
This mockup was composed in Cubase 11 with primarily Spitfire Audio libraries. In particular I used, BBCSO Core, Epic Percussion, and Firewood Piano, as well as some sounds in my DAW.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed listening to my piece, and to everyone else competing I hope you've been having fun composing like I have.
