Nice vid, very useful especially now that the baguette Yak-3 has been added to the warbonds shop, if i get it i might consider grinding out France, i just don't know what would be good to use in rank IV tho.
The Ouragan/Barougan are both pretty good, Mystere IIA/C are both okay, F84G is okay. Etendard is probably one of my favorite 9.0s. Really just avoid the Mystere IVA and the Super Mystere. I haven't tried the vautour late but i can imagine its more of a meme vehicle.
The Mystere 2 at 8.0 is amazing, the one at 8.3 is dreadful - it's a better plane all around, but it sees supersonics in around 4/5 battles I guess. This experience made me skip the Mystere 4 altogether. Seems like that has been right call. ...and since France got its event top tier jet, I'll skip all of rank 6 (rank 5 France is just fine contrary to popular belief) and rank 7 (event jet wooo - I heard that the Jaguar A is a lot of fun, though).
Its hard to really judge these planes for what they are because of the compressed matchmaker. If they just pushed supersonic like the f104 up it would go a long way to making things a lot less volatile around 8.3 to 9.7
Yes, you are right. I basically stopped playing the MiG-15 bis, Lim-5P and F-86F-30 at some point. All of these are amazing planes at their BR, but this really doesn't matter since the pull of 9.7 with 30 G missiles and supersonics is just too big and none of them can compete when you get R60s, SRAAMs or in the case of the Lim-5P even Magics on your tail. Perhaps I'll have a better experience when I jump to the MiG-19S, MiG-23BN and Swiss Hunter for Germany and both Q-5s for China since all of these just have ridiculous performance and/or countermeasures and also good missilies for the Hunter. (Yes, I mostly play Germany, France and China, I'm sure you could have told by my previous comments on your videos)
I think people like to compare all the planes around here to the f86 and mig15 since they're seen pretty often and they excel at specific things. The Sabre has a good top speed accel and roll. The mig15 has a good turn and mer. Beyond those things, the Sabre and mig15 are kinda mediocre or bad at everything else, but you can imagine all the other subsonic jets being like a sort of inbetween of traits, maybe with less speed and roll but better turn than a Sabre but not as good as a mig15
I feel like if you use it right it can be good, I just don't really have the patience for it. The earlier mystere 2s a d the ouragans are pretty solid I think (haven't played them that much), and jn a downtier they can get quite a lot done, I think I'd just rather be in something else like a j29f
Would you agree with my assessment of its flight characteristics tho? It was a while since I spaded this plane and I didn't remember it bleeding speed so much. I almost expected to go in the modifications tab and find that I had accidentally unchecked all the engine upgrades
@@CatWerfer yes the exceleration and energy retention are pretty trash but thats just for the Myster IV and Super mystere the 4 planes before that actually have really good energy retention in my oppinion. Maybe i just like them because i just played all the mirage 3s and the mysteres so maybe I am just used to play stuff without energy retention.
