@@shashlik7959 I remember I was in my P47 at 8k alt with a zero on my ass, 1v1, and he had already damaged my engine so I was suffering. I thought, well fuck, I'll just dive. I hit .85 mach and the zero just flit away into nothingness lol. Idk why he followed me through.

Bombers can actually be pretty helpful if they just play gunship and shoot down the Spitfires who try to attck them - but most bomber players don't even know how to use the gunners...
Man everyone hating on bomber pilots but since the ju288 the German teams have just been nerfed because now they have 1-3 less fighters per game. Which sucks for germans but makes 5.0-6.0 way more fun for allies.
Great game and camera management, I like how you divide the battle up into little skirmishes that are winnable rather than a large battle where you are outnumbered five to one. The F4U is an amazing plane against the Germans, it eats FW's for breakfast. I only realized how good it was when I played it, it can surprise even an experienced FW pilot. After that I was always super careful around them in my little FWA5.
Adam514 find out many 5.7 aircraft has air brake:4b has landing gear,152h/c has a flap that wont rip at 800 IAS,k4 has prop pitch,P47m has a actually air brake(diving flap actually)

@@AdamTheEnginerd No, I genuinely like it! even though its small, It adds personality and adds a funny aspect to the video. Like the contrast between your serious and well thought out text and the "oof" are really funny imo. the screen could be saying "I did this to not die, this is a technique etc" and then you just hear "oof". I'm going wayy more into depth than I need to but anyways I just found it cool.

F4u 4b corsaie and the p51 d30 mustang are my fav aircrafts in simulator battles. And i still cant imagine what if i faced off someone like you in simulator battles lmao. Ill probably just bail out and hide in the clouds.
The F4U-1A is a great plane to start grinding the American tech tree, the F4U-4 is a well-rounded plane that possesses good top speed, high-alt performance, and high-speed handling, but the F4U-4B is a true beast. It's an absolute Chad with a quartet of flying spaghetti monster dismantling cannons, a top of the line Double-Wasp engine, and a refusal to recognize the concept of high-speed compression. It takes your sister out for dinner and you're jealous of her.
Could you play the Ta-154 sometime, its my favourite prop. -exellent firepower -good manueveribilty -out climbs allied fighters -good at defensive flying
Starting from the F4U-1A, I have LOVED the Corsairs, the landing gear and flaps mean you can outturn anything that isn't japanese with the right input and airspeed, and the roll rate is just awesome. The diving ability also makes it a joy to do violent maneuvers in(something I really really disliked on the Hellcat which has no roll rate) for dodging rounds or forcing overshoots. I haven't gotten to the F4U-4B yet, but it's the next thing I'm gunning for. hopefully will have it soon, looks like fun by the way you handle it.
How do you fight this thing in a k4? I have about 400 matches with around 700 kills but the f4u4b, 51h and mk 9 lf (at low alts) are the only things im scared of, f4u even more so due to its roll.
An excellent boom and zoom aircraft. I got three kills in a single boom and zoom just recently (shot one plane down in the dive, killed another at the bottom, and killed one last one while I passed it climbing).
Bud Anderson said the mustang was a match for anything he flew against. It would do anything he wanted it to do. Same with the later D and M model thunderbolts. Lot of Thunderbolt aces.
How ironic is its comparison to P-47N. This, a low/medium altitude engine stuck onto a high-altitude airframe; the P-47N, a high-altitude engine stuck onto a low-altitude airframe

I like flying the 190A8 or d9, for the most part I'm underestimated by all manner of planes, 51s, P47s, griffons etc.. defensive flying can equal the odds, but with the F4u4b I really need the opponent to be stupid, cos there isn't much it can't do well. Unless it runs out of wep, but gambling on that is playing against the odds.
i usually only fly the 4b if im over 500k lions, or if im bored of jets and need to club some do335’s. shame it’s got 31k repair, it’s my favourite plane
@@AdamTheEnginerd i'm just mad at the last guy for not sucking it up and working with his team even if they're dicks. no only did he fail himself and his teammates by not trying his hardest, he failed you by denying you an opportunity to pull off that 1v3.
Holy shit.... never giving up huh? This just shows me how heavily i underestimated the turning and dogfighting capabilities of the f4... I thought such a heavy brick cant turn at all and is just aimed at high speeds
I agree that this is the best prop. The armament absolutely shreds enemies, and has more than enough ammo. Great speed and engine power especially at low alts, it can easily beat enemies energy fighting because of its good acceleration. The gear airbrake is absolutely genius on the inventors part. This thing also shreds jets because you can take a headon and just dip down and they cant pull the same negative Gs as you. Or if they dive on you just go really low and under their nose so that they have to pitch down more and crash or try to roll and risk crashing.
Dude I just spaded the f4u`s with this one being the only one left(just played 1 game) I was just looking for some videos about it, time to watch some.
AdamTheEnginerd I clutched a 1v5 in the sea fury a week or 2 ago because there was no clouds and I could climb and see where people are. I ended that game with 6 kills. Most of the time I’ll be climbing through the clouds and just get blindsided by a dora 😂
It is a beautiful and effective aircraft, had ablast spading it, even though the teams were.. lacking, quite often. I also enjoyed the F4U-4, but it felt more powerful when introduced.. Or maybe I am imagining things, I dunno..

Du coup, maintenant je pars du principe qu'ils vont mourir quoi qu'il arrive et ne me met pas trop la pression ;) 7:07 wow, le coup du bord de carte qui te sauve (plus ou moins) deux fois dans la même partie ?! Lol Personne ne regarde (check) sa carte en situation de poursuite ou quoi :V C'est assez simple à "contrer". Beau combat à 1vs2 à la fin. Chapeau à eux, c'était pas mal du tout. La victoire leur est passé pas loin sous le nez. (Sans commentaire à propos du mec qui trash talk ses alliés mais qui au final meurt en 30 secondes sur une erreur bête : croyait-il vraiment pouvoir outclimb ou finir sa boucle contre un F4U-4 après avoir perdu autant d'énergie ?!) A chaque fois que je vois un A-8 ça me donne envie de pleurer : ça me rappelle que le A-9 n'existe pas sur ce jeu et qu'il aurait bien plus sa place en 5.0 que le A-8.
Les bords de carte ne m'ont pas sauvé, plutôt ils auraient pu permettre aux ennemis de me rattraper s'ils se positionnaient comme il le faut. Le mec dans le A8 était contre les efforts intenses de ses alliés pour me tuer haha.
@@AdamTheEnginerd Ouais, c'est que je voulais dire : il auraient pu utilisé le bord de carte pour te rattraper plus facilement :D Non seulement ils ont échoué à cela mais le Bf 109 K qui te rattrapait à 7:07 se fait larguer après ton respawn (dût à sa manœuvre de repositionnement). Pareil pour le Dora à 17:56

I recently got back into war thunder and have been grinding your videos lately. I walk half paying attention to this and saw the name buzz. I sat up and holy crap that is me!!! I was totally dog shit back them, (still am) but that is so cool to see. Keep up the great work! Edit: glad to see I was as salty then as I am now XD

Nice to see a recent video for an Allied prop vs an Axis team (not against USSR). AN/M2-3 are decent and I daresay if you had been in a P-51 or P-47 or maybe even a non-cannon corsair, I doubt you would have been able to carry in this fashion. Though 50 cals do feel a bit better after this last patch despite no patch notes announcing any buffs.
This is how most matches end when I decide to play my F4U-1C. Frustrating playing against altitude and climbing kings while most US teams ground pound like the F7F there. I don't know why I'm ranting about this, you all know this.
I haven't unlocked the f4u-4 yet,But I was going through the wiki and it says F4U-4B has 2 compressor settings for 1000m, 4650m, but the F4U-4 has 3 for 450m,5638m and 7619m, So I'm guessing it performs better at high altitude and somewhat worse at low, only 20 kph difference at sea level according to the spreadsheet in the video's description. So, why the 0.7 BR difference and huge repair cost difference. The F4U 1D costs more to repair than the F4U-4. Does that plane have some weaknesses or problems I don't know about???
