As a Moroccan i can assure you that some of us were very shocked at the zarzour pic in reddit. Btw Zarzour is a type of field birds so i dunno why they named him that, plus the guy looks like he has acromegaly which adds to the fact that people must just be making shit up about this poor fella and i think his TikTok page is legit

I was actually there when the 4chan alien image incident happened. Basically, 4chan abruptly went offline and when it came back online a little while later, the website was flooded with variations of an image depicting the same scene; an alien creature in the desert at the forefront of the frame on the left, and in the background to it's right was a single tree. The implication being that someone had leaked a real photo of an alien to 4chan, and in an act of damage control the feds managed to get ahead of it by flooding 4chan with fake images depicting the exact same scene, making it impossible for anybody to discern which image is the real one. It was probably some bullshit cooked up in a group chat, but the weird thing is that 4chan definitely went offline and within hours there were tons of different desert alien tree pics being spammed everywhere

I too was there. Very interesting at first, given the servers rarely go down for 4chan. Personally my favourite part was the months of shitposting. It is so seared into my brain that as soon as I saw that picture with the dude and the tree I was like X ALIEN PHOTO CALLING IT.

Just to add to the Zarzour story 48km/h didnt came from nowhere it was a police car chasing him and the police officer was talking on his radio and said that the car's speedometer is in 48km/h and he was surprised that a human can run this fast, he also was very good on climbing trees 😅

As a Moroccan I'm pretty surprised that the Zarzour thing is a mystery in the west lol, anyway the guy in Tiktok is legit and he is the same guy from the mystery. Here's some information about Zarzour, he's a (not very known) Moroccan actor who played minor roles in many Moroccan TV movies from the 2000s, he was diagnosed with acromegaly and he's like 200+cm (7feet), just like the actor "Carel Struycken".. he mostly played Giant or some kind of scary character that's it. Those pics are probably from either his old facebook or Skyblog ( french version of myspace that was popular in morocco in the 2000s)

Not long ago me and my friend discovered the image of Zarzour where it says “Invite me to your house” which we found hilarious and both of us thought that the picture was just of the Ali Ahmed guy. After watching this video that treasured memory has been forever tainted and I’ll never get that joy back. I am now incredibly confused. Hlep.

I miss the favorites feature, but I get why it was removed. Now that there are likes instead of ratings and each like is automatically added to your liked videos list, there's no need for a feature that basically does the same thing anymore. Plus you could still add videos to your favorites since they were all converted to normal playlists anyway. There was just something about that favorite button that made it special

jack off jill is genuinely a very good band! their sound is very gothic / riot grrrl and their most popular album is "clear hearts gray flowers". they have since broken up but i recommend their music if u like gothic and riot grrrl sounds :)
