It’s a pity that Cixi was all blamed for everything that is considered bad and she can never have a say. From the fall of Qing dynasty and any death was the fault of Cixi. China went to war with all the powerful countries in Europe ( Germany, Russia, France, Britain) and the most modern army of n Asia- Japan and of course USA, every body wants a piece of China. Also the majority Chinese Han were revolting besides from the natural disasters like famines and floods. The Qing dynasty under Cixi went to war against Japan in the first sino - Japanese war and lost, also fought the British in the first and second opium war and lost, all these are happening while the Han were also overthrowing their Manchu rulers. All these were managed by Cixi while everyone was planning to be the next ruler or emperor of China. Cixi could have been poisoned too by her enemies?Still Cixi managed to make China still intact. Cixi was never portrayed as a hero and was demonise by the west and enemies. As the saying goes: “ the victors rewrites the history “.
