Thank you for this analysis, the message is spot on, you can't interpret the Bible in a reductionist manner. I've seen how many Atheists pluck out certain passages to condemn the whole Bible and religion, this is a very infantile manner of looking at the Bible. The Word of God has an underlying message that God loves us and is continuously searching for us and redeeming us from our selves, the culmination of this search is when God becomes one of us.
