Well we've been working on this problem for quite some time. I put a little short video on here talking about it and got a lot of information from you guys. Trust me we tried everything you told us to do. As I'm talking right now the shop has the truck. I will put another video on later once we find out more information on the squeak.

I had a squeak that I chased for years. It couldn't be the rear drive shaft UJ's because I'd had a well known shop replace them (I removed DS). It was fine for a while but after a couple of years, it's back. UJ's are all tight and show no rust.

Just over a year ago I bought my retirement truck in preparation for buying a 5th wheel. I bought a 2018 Ram 2500 crew cab Cummins 2wd. I absolutely love the truck but knowing how the emissions crap will kill it I’m having it deleted and having several other mods and additions done to improve her towing capabilities and to prepare for our road trips. One additional plus to tearing all of the emissions crap off of the truck is gaining 400lbs of cargo capacity. 👍

A lot of lube places don’t have a needle to lube some ujoints. Good idea to get your own just to make sure. Good luck.

Front driveshaft has a hidden grease fitting that requires a grease needle for greasing.It's on the end closest to transfer case.

are you f'n kidding me the squeak STOPED unreal you must really love that truck to put up and pay sooo much to keep it . stay safe and keep it between the ditches .

What a mystery. Little things like that will drive you crazy. I don't have any ideas anymore, you said at the end of the video it had quit squeaking? maybe it took time for the grease to get to the area, or maybe the WD 40 worked? Sit down in the shade and have a cool one and ask Hank, when all else fails. Good luck, and Be Safe.

Gary, check your Exhaust pipe and leaf springs. Exhaust pipe could create enough heat to expand a pipe just enough that the one inside will just wiggle back and forth a bit, same for the springs. With my Ford Diesel I wouldn't be able to hear a squeak.. You can also check your body and motor mounts.

Hello. Nice video. I have a 2018 3500 with manual transmission. One time episode of all kind of squeaking and clattering coming from the driver side one day starting up at idle. I thought a branch was caught under there so the moment I pop the hood the noise went away and has never returned. May be a sticking starter? Anyway, your truck looks fantastic. If you would be so kind, what kind of tires and what size are they? Thx!

I think eventually it will fail which will make it easier to find. Hopefully it's while your near home and not pulling the rig.

Its the front drive shaft mine did the same .on the transfer case side there are two u joints close to each other .a carden joint? Not sure the name but thats close and they squeek and are hard to lube.

2001 dodge Durango, RWD with an open dif. And has EXACTLY the same sqeak goblin. Only comes out when she warms up. Also replaced both U joints in the drive shaft as well as the rear breaks (which were do anyways). Still persists.

Well I have a Dodge Ram 2006 4.7 L 1500 2-wheel drive and it has just started doing that and I wish that you actually could record it to hear it to see if it's the same kind of squeak that my trucks making and your video that I watched and how you explained everything seems like the exact same problem that I'm having which which district has been nothing but problems for me from the get-go from the start the truck I bought for $9,000 at a dealership me and my family after I got it it started doing nothing but problems after problems and continues doing the same problems over again after I fix them and yes you probably say why don't you just get rid of a truck because nobody will buy it and Dodges are not worth anything as soon as you drive them off the lot that's when the salesman says there goes another sucker Dodge's are junk but they sure do look good but it's not all about the looks I promise you that enjoyed your video
