It’s funny that the world is full of these old movies, some great, and some “B” rated. But you know what? Almost EVERY SINGLE one of them is better than anything that comes out of Hollyweird today, and the added BONUS??!! We don’t know OR care WHAT the political affiliation of the actors or studios producing them was! Such a blessing!! Thank you for posting this movie!! ❤️

I lived back during this era, and very clearly I remember that a man never , ever , ever wore a hat inside a building.
@burningandunconsumed
@burningandunconsumed 9 дней назад
I swear to God that I am genuinely not trying to be disrespectful at all, but didn't they have "hat hair" if they took off the hat? I promise, no disrespect intended. If I'm going somewhere that a hat would be inappropriate, I don't wear one to begin with for this very reason. But I guess I wear "baseball caps" and not these kinds of hats? Maybe it's different.
@carolcole570
@carolcole570 9 дней назад
@@burningandunconsumed . No need at all to “ use God to swear by “. But, as I said, back in the day when it was proper for men to wear a hat, Fathers automatically taught their sons to never ever ever wear a hat inside any kind of building. It was considered uncouth. Now, moving forward, in today’s world, sons of higher class respectable families still do not wear a hat inside of a building……..and this includes anything from a baseball cap to a helmet. However, in today’s world, there are so very many males who have turned their backs on what is appropriate in clothes and outerwear, that they thumb their noses at societal norms and do as they please. A typical example will be males walking around in shoes with no socks on their feet. Or men who don’t keep their shoes polished. Hope you understand.
@burningandunconsumed

@carolcole570 Thank you for your perspective, genuinely. I watch these movies from time to time because they remind me of things I watched in very early childhood with my grandparents on Turner Classic Movies. My grandparents are gone, but the movies are still here. It seems like almost all of these movies include sons or daughters fighting to be free individuals, and I think that has been and always will be a theme in families and society. Otherwise, every descendant would be identical to every ancestor. But by the same token, I think every elder has descendants whom they adore, and every descendant has ancestors they revere.

@@burningandunconsumed You are very welcome. I, too, love old movies, however lately I have gotten stuck in a little bit of a more modern mode watching The Mentalist. Old television serial that is about the police and is very long. It has intrigue , laughter, and excitement. I, too, miss my own parents and grandparents……and their wisdom, guidance, and discernment. When I was growing up, our modest family was the first on our street to get a television set…….in black and white, of course. I have watched the world explode with technology ! I live in the South of the USA. ❤️

This is an interesting movie with good banter between the players, but whoever was in charge of continuity should have been fired. Watch closely the scene with Wong and the Tong members. Notice the tea pot and the person he is talking to throughout the scene. I can't believe they let that go by, but overall an entertaining film. Thanks

That’s why they call it acting. You play fictitious or real people in whatever depiction you think is best. It’s not a perfect sense of what is but it should be open to all races all religions all people of any ethnicity. Many past actors have played people whom were not any where even near to whom they were playing. That’s why they call it acting. No one should be discriminated from playing any part no matter who they are. Some bios might not be accurate but at the time they were the best they could do. Old movies are more expressive then modern movies. The character actors were better back then. Today they are so so. Exceptable but not great.
