these were to pay it forward for all the enjoyment I get from watching your videos. I hope you can find new homes for everything I sent you. bless you and stay safe.
Mr. Parker, that was such a wonderful thing to do! God bless you for your generosity. I’m gonna try and purchase the Mickey Mouse bank for my Dad who’s 79, has dementia and developed an affinity for Mickey Mouse!
Mr. Parker you sure know how to send a lot of joy forward as one of the thousands who will really enjoy the opening of this Treasures Chest, I thank you.
I can actually provide some knowledge here! 🎉 The little figurine that says “Hummel” and “Mors” relates to an old story from Hamburg, Germany from the 1800s where a water carrier always got mocked by neighborhood kids; they would call him “Hummel, Hummel” to ridicule him, and he would answer “Mors, Mors”, which refers to the derrière, so he was basically saying “Kiss my a**” ☺️ “Hummel, Hummel” is still some kind of a greeting in Hamburg.
I recognize that Gerber knife! My dad worked for Gerber for decades and helped develop many of their knives before Fiskars bought them. That is one he helped develop. Excellent quality utility knife!
Couldn’t think of a more deserving person to receive the gift of a mystery box. Alex, you are like a kid on Christmas morning - you get so excited at the sight of a box or bag. What a nice way to show appreciation for what you do - by gifting a box of goodies for you to drool over. Thank you for sharing with us and involving Paul as well. Take care and good luck with the auction tomorrow. With best wishes from Down Under 💕🇦🇺
John Wayne carried those cards, sometimes they were pre-signed, a quick way to shed the autograph hounds without being rude. He was not a rude man, unless you happened to get on his bad side somehow. Yes, I can't say I met him exactly, but did see him both in a hotel and on set of one of the many westerns he made. There was a place near my hometown in Colorado where a lot of westerns were shot, as well as other movies.
That was so much fun to watch! So many wonderful items I would have loved for you to talk about a little bit more fully. Very generous of the gentleman who sent it!
WOW! Did this person not have family to appreciate these things and sent them to you? That was some treasure. That book was really great and the gold!!! Perhaps this person is dying or sent in appreciation for your videos that keep us all entertained during the pandemic.
Looks like you hit the jackpot with a little of everything. What a kind person to think of you. I always know that when I watch it will be fun. TFS and blessings from California 🙋♀️
Jackie Kennedy’s pearls were costume pearls that had been her Mother’s. Very early Chanel pearls. Each Pearl was painted hundreds and hundreds of times to get the correct luster.
pocket knife in general for my stepdad yea they said they use to go to WW Arcade and army navy store they said they go there and pack a lunch he said the cut a lot of head cheese and cheese and summer sausage there when they were still downtown don't remember the WW Arcade yea the one yes we stop going down there yea parking was not free to think why we stop, i was very small to my stepdad said the best place to buy fishing flies there or materials for tieing flies their too
All of that stuff is cool! I love the John Wayne autograph ( why give it up?) and the Deutsch Marks. The aqua/turquoise color on your new showcase is great.
Cyd in USA. I’ve seen many of the resellers I watch receive and unbox surprises from their viewers. The box you opened today was the BEST one I’ve ever seen. It was interesting and potentially VERY valuable. If I lived closer I’d be “all over” the Hoppy glass and the Tracy ring.
What a blessing, my mom use too have a borden Elsie cow coffee creamer. Her frist name was Elsie and kids would pick on her so she used her middle name. God bless stay safe. Angel from Norfolk VA.
Meaning that the hoarder home would be hard to top on the long run and then you get a delivery that is right up there with any mystery hoard. Wow when you hold your mouth right or what. Glad to see things like this that will put you closer to the goal line
Question about pearl necklace teeth check - could you use a 'lost' tooth from a kid? I also like the idea of just keeping one baby tooth with your nice jewelery, to confuse future generations of treasure hunters.
This is great! What an awesome gift! This stuff meant something to this man. You should make contact with him. Im sure yiu will anyhow. Maybe he could use a talk
Hey there!! Thanks for sharing this with us! I always enjoy it when you unpack a mystery box, with us, Alex! It almost feels like l am there! Take care everybody! Peace to all....🦋💜🦋
That is an awesome box. Great video... have enjoyed it very much. Thank you for sharing. Watched the video of the storage unit you and your son did earlier. Loved it too. Thank you for sharing!!!
We have two of the coffee creamers. They came from Cracker Barrel in the early 70's. They have straw holes and my children drank their "coffee" from them every morning. Now my great grand children drink from them. Memories
There is a guy in Alaska that at the age of 69 got attacked by a Grizzley, and he managed to kill it with a Buck knife. He was a lot worse for wear, of course, but he's still kicking.
@@maryanderson3542 yes, but at 69 killing a grizz with a buck knife has to make him like the baddest dude alive. Yes, he's still alive. We have a friend in AK that actually knows him. He has the grizz mounted in his house, and the buck knife framed on the wall. In Alaska, they allow individuals to assign their hunting rights to others... he can't really hunt these days, the bear did mess him up, so he assigns his right to fill his freezer. Ain't nobody he offers the job to that would turn him down.
That pearl dad joke was going through my head before your friend said it. Growing up with John Cleese humour is why I totally get you, although being 26 at the time I watched it from when they started with Monty Python. The guy on the airport scanner handed me back my Gerber knife as it was no more than 7 inches long, how times have changed.
You make me smile how your right hand opens all your treasures, but in saying that you have done it for years ,lv your channel, stay safe all your beautiful family ,happy new year Ann uk x
The Wood canoe holding the ceiling lights was a great idea. If we are still in covid era which I believe is suppose to last til 2026 you will have to clean piano after each entertainer.
On the Buck knife, I had one like that in 1968 when I hitchhiked up and down California with just my dog and guitar. Brought back some good memories! Let me know what you want for it, eh?
Alex..Could be that Gentleman didn't have anyone to leave his Treasures too. An since he admired you..well 💖 I know you'll do the right thing and send him a very thoughtful letter showing your appreciation, cause your that type of wonderful person.👍🌹🙏🙋♀️✌
A litteral mixed box of things, some worth pennies, some dollars, some just nice, others desirable. looks like a few viewers want to buy a few so , looks worth for the showing.
Sometimes its an easy thing if you want to donate to a charity, most have specialist sale , auction sites, or can use it if still current, in the countries of operation.
That little figurine is from Hamburg/Germany. The watercarrier was called „Hummel Hummel“ by the children, and being annoyed and not really able to move (as he was carrying two heavy buckets of water, hanging from a stick across his shoulders), he is said to have grumpily muttered „Mors Mors“ as an answer, what is dialectic for.. the blank behind 😃 Cute little story that sums up the Hamburg mentality, still very present in the town, especially for tourists..
I just ordered a couple of Gerber faucets for my kitchen sink. Gerber is also the standard file type for plotting film for printed circuits. I ran into those where I used to work. I don't know what the relationships are between the various Gerbers.
That was like Christmas! Love watching anyone looking for treasures, especially unexpected. You guys had a lot of fun. My husband would love those knives! Also my son..maybe a genetic thing 🇦🇺
