The Rumble Seat is my all in one pedal. Dumped my entire pedal board and it is the only pedal I have been using. Gives me a good eerie ballsy kind of Cramps sounds that I like! 🎸🎵❤️🔥😎
thanks Mike! fun review. that jack on the side is for the Fluid Drive I make that sort of completes the unit. I really couldnt fit more stuff in the box haha.
Thank you Tavo. Your pedals are always the best. Your passion and dedication show in the quality in your pedals. I always love the artwork of your pedals as well. Much respect to you. Viva Nocturne Brain!
Thanks for the demo, Mike !! Was all set to buy the EHX Slap Back Echo for $81; now I see videos of The Rumble Seat and the Mystery Brain. Really makes me wonder how I can get the best bang for the buck. Looking for something close to the sounds of Scotty Moore, Gene Vincent, Eddie Cochran, Duane Eddy, etc using a 1992 Gretsch G7594DCT White Falcon and 2022 Gretsch G6229TG Turquoise Sparkle Jet. The Rumble Seat is getting my attention by watching these videos. Thanks !! 😁🌴🎸🇵🇷
To get the best slap back sound on the Rumble Seat set the Delay and Repeat to 8 o’clock the mix at 1-2 o’clock and Reverb at 3-4 o’clock and the Drive to however you feel, I just found that to be the sweet spot to my ears anyway, it’s a great unit the Reverb is Lush, Don’t know much about the Mystery Brain but it sounds good 👍🏻
I have the Rumble Seat and it is fantastic! Looking to add an Keeley Memphis Sun and this Brain Train is now on the list as well! Thanks for the demo. P S. Your Gretsch Eddie Cochrane sounds amazing!
Hi Mike. Great demo. Thank you for including the Rumble Seat. If you really want to kick the Rockabilly side of the Rumble Drive, set the gain all the way to the left. It will give the notes some Rockabilly attitude with out the heavy drive. At 12 o’clock you’re getting into Led Zeppelin territory.
I can’t hear any big deal in this mystery brain. At least in the video audio. I wouldn’t sell the rumble seat for the other. You could enhance your clean and driven tone with a good compressor, even an xotic boost. I would be more interested in knowing if one could effectively stack pedals for enhancement with the rumble? Like a tremolo/ vibrato and a boost or compressor before the signal.
I agree. and, I think the drive does not even come close to a great tube amp. Having a very clean and well modelled tape delay in front of a great tube amp will get us exactly what we are looking for: the traditional sound from the old days when the guitarrists had their Echolette between the guitar and the amp - and the amp created the distortion.
@@joyoffilming9500 Agree. Practicing at home the RS drive helps to get some distortion at low volume. At gig volume the MB preamp will send your tube amp into distortion which is glorious. So RS at home and MB on stage.
Both great but different pedals. I prefer the delay on the Mystery Brain but I'm also a Spring Reverb addict... After watching hours of videos on RU-vid and talking to owners of these pedals on forums Im going to go with the Mystery Brain. I like the options and possibilities of the Brain more and can always get a Verb pedal later. Always on the fence about Tremolo and Fuzz as I only need em for a few songs here and there...
Even it's an older video, wich is great btw., I need some swarm knowledge. I can't decide wich one to buy... My heart says Mystery Brain, but the brain says Rumble seat... Or maybe none of them...just use 2 or 3 pedals to achive that sound... Please help me to decide.
Ok you said you paid 250$ for the rumble seat? - tell me where so I can get same deal. Your playing gigs ,50’s -60s variety . rock pop ,country, you can only use one pedal- which do you take? Thanks
