One of my mummy in Egbe Kogi State now in her late 70s once told me that when she was a girl, she and her mother with some other step siblings mistakenly mis calculated the time because of the full moon light, they thought the day had break but it was midnight, she said on their way to farm they will pass through Oja Egbe (Egbe Market) that midnight they met a very tall creature (iwin) around that matket she said the creature had a fire burning on its head, she said they ran and hide under table at the open matket, they said the iwin tried to touch them but it couldn't reach out to them because it was so tall that even when it bend, it could not reach them. They said after it waited for a while it went away.

The snake wrapping round the child is to signify that the child indeed is their child,so if the father of that child family worships a diety or believes snake to be their ancestor the snake appearing just signifies he's their son
It might be true when I was born, a giant snake rolled over me and did not harm me (According to my dad, it was from his Ancestor. ), but my old brothers attempted to kill, and the snake disappeared. My dad said they should have given the sneak red oil and yam.

I had the experience similar, saw two being in the middle of road from ikire to oshogbo, that is when we traveled late at night without fear, two of them looks like they wrapped them in something rolling on the road, we later got a flat tire, we walked all the way close to oshogbo that day before we got a lift.
