This is my FAVORITE RIDE EVER!!! I own t-shirts, mugs, plush birds, magnets, ect. All having to do with Mystery Mine (I bought them there ^^) The funniest thing ever happened to me on there was that my Grandma kept cussing...lol.
this ride rocks. its so well designed and themed. i love dollywood. i even made my own music video for the whole park. in the 4 hours we got to spend their. it was a really long drive for us we left from columbus ohio and had to be in cincinati the next day.
Got seven rides on Mystery Mine yesterday. Dolly has crowd-pleasing hit on her hands. It's a great coaster, not too intense, lots of theming, fun for all ages. I noticed new theming details each time I rode. Looking forward to my next park visit to ride again. It's just a fun, fun ride. WhoooooooO!
I was one of the first official riders on this ride on friday 13th april-after i won the auction. i got to meet dolly and have my picture with her just before i got to ride and it was so truly amazing- theres a massive plasma screen tv-which u see the roller go as you fly towards the sky lol and to the 85feet drop well thats the best bit theres a burst of ''fire'' that u feel real heat from just as u 'fall'-all the way from scotland to meet my hero and be one of the first on this ride!
aww its brings it all back Friday 13th april 2007 i went and met dolly just before going on the mystery mine!! awsome to say the least the best bit by far i felt was wen it ''went on fire''
She is the nicest person anyone could meet. I don't know why anyone would not like her. I've been to Dollywood to see her many times. (I have videos posted on here of her appearances). But I never got to meet her so I participated in a charity auction and I was allowed to have a picture taken with her, which she autographed and mailed to me, and I was the 12th person to ever ride the ride. I'm a member of her street team also and they are sending me an autographed photo in the mail this week.
We're going to Dollywood this summer, and I am SO going on that ride! It looks awesome! And to xxxmileylovaxxx, I half belive you. Most don't find it beliveable that my band instructor's uncle animated Spiderman. :)
Dollywood was an amazing experience for me, vacation wise. Seeing as I live in Canada. Haha, I am just scared when it comes to rollercoasters, so I was afraid to go on this :P

noooo it will be open everyday but it can go down between now and opening day. Its open for technical reasons right now, basically to get all the bugs out so its benefiting the park to be able to test it out in real life situations and it benefits us to be able to ride it!
haha, im going july 9th! on thursdays, there is NOBODY there! we got season passes, and this is my 8th time going this year! u will have a BLAST! be sure to ride ALL the water rides!
Question: Is this a good starting ride for someone who has never been on a Upside-down coaster? Because im a chicken on rides and i really want to start riding things
I am a HUGE Dolly Parton fan and I have been to Dollywood to see her perform several times...but come on now...Dollywood is NOTHING compared to any of the four exquisitely themed theme parks at the most magical place on the planet...Walt Disney World Resort!
That was a really fun ride until you got to the hills that went straight up but leaned backwards so I kept my eyes closed the whole time but tomorrow I'm going there again and I'm going to get my little 11 year old sister on it, CAN'T WAIT
Just so everyone knows, this park's not nearly as bad as BlondeDude99 would have you believe. I just went for the first time a few days ago and had a great time! Yeah it doesn't have a ton of rides, but the ones it does have are pretty good (he obviously did not ride Thunderhead). Dollywood is a THEME park, whereas places like Cedar Point or Six Flags are AMUSEMENT parks. They have tons and tons of rides with some theming, while theme parks have tons of themeing with rides that suit it.
i got stuck on timber tower this morning about 3 feet in the air. i had to sit there for about 5 min until they let us down. it was to cold to ride MM. they did not test it till the park was closing
did you ride it when it first came out? the fire came a lot closer and it was a lot cooler then, but some dumbass complained and they did make it come out so much
that is typical, but u gotta love here cuz ppl that do not like her it is kind of weird because she didnt do anything, but yea it is funny that she said that. so how were you able to ask her ?
maverick has a 95 degree angle isn't that the same as mystery mine no it doesn't have a vertical lift but it goes up the lift at 15 mph but mm does look sweet to ride i want to ride it once At least but you should check out maverick i hope to get to dollywood this summer
i get to go there Sunday. oh yeah I'm so happy i haven't been since i was 8 now I'm tall enough to ride the roller coasters! don't make fun I'm only 12!
when i went in 08 i rode it so much i got bored of it. the Tennessee tornado is too short of a ride. the mystery mine is perfect though. and also if you read the little signs and things hung up inside the mine it seems a lot scarier.
I went on this twice and it is so fun ! I was young so I was crying in the line and my dad said that isnt the one we were going on and It was i was mad at him! LOL I was like 9 or 10
You know Dollywood Doesn't close because Rain right? Thats the best time to go NO LINES! I rode every ride there atleast 5 times (All the good ones anyways) but they only close if it starts lightning.
i cant believe how high it is to get in dollywood, we paid over $300.00 dollars to get in for a family of six.We had to limit what we did on vacation after that.You got to be rich to go there anymore.
i rode maverick which is taller then mystery mine and alot faster but it would be hard to compare a kiddie coaster to a more thrill coaster like the maverick for those who never heard of maverick look it up cedar point
i had cried on that ride cuase i was sick and i went on it but i was the best ride ever my secound uncle dolly partons husban lets me skip the line on that ride
