It disappeared in Scotland. Yes, 1972. Not at Apple in 1969, like mcmac originally assumed. That hurt. Everyone at Apple knew how important the OG stuff was. It's another version of "the piano".

I know what it's like to be struggling to raise two kids through school on not much money, and I'm thrilled that the good woman found the bass and gave it back to paul, but I think it's a little bit on the declasse side that she wrote him a note soliciting a monetary reward. In any case I's like to think that Sir Paul did right by her. I would've gladly handed it back to him for one of those smiles, and a hug.

Give mcmac time. He is not BillyJoel who takes out full page announcements everytime he give a cent away. That bass was VERY important to him. The og equipment bought in Hamburg is important. Mcmac, like the others, had to SAVE for their stuff. When George was GIVEN his first guitar, by manufacturer, he thought it was a joke.

I'd be pretty sure Paul would have rewarded the woman somehow and she could make money being interviewed about it. I'm fairly sure she couldn't just sell the bass for a massive amount of $ because technically she's a receiver of stolen goods. I never knew about the missing bass. Amazing its been returned to Paul. I enjoyed the story and the artwork is really pretty darned good. Thanks

My daughter found and returned the guitar. She was not treated well by MPL. The lawyers sent to her house were aggressive and gagged her from telling her story. She was given peanuts and is not in a better financial position as she had to waive her small amount of benefits. All this has affected her mental and physical health. She is, as I am, very disappointed that she was not treated with the respect and caring she deserved. She had recently lost her husband and was in a vulnerable state. No-one even asked or showed concern towards her. The whole story is documented but she can't tell it. However other people can .

We have not heard anything from Paul about this matter which makes me believe that he's hiding some thing Paul if you see this you've had an extraordinary life and have been blessed with lots of $ please treat this lady right or tell us why but to be silent is not right

The guitar was stolen. It doesn't matter how long ago; it was stolen. I don't see how the woman in whose possession it was would have any rights to it. She returned it, which was the right thing to do. She is not owed anything, though it would be nice if she received a reward.

He's almost a billionaire, I sure as hell hope he gave her at least a million dollars for his precious Hofner bass. She's a working mom with two kids, come on Paul don't be a cheapskate!
