We all thought MID might have killed the game franchise, but KEY might potentially bring it back to life! Already, this feels cinematic and more detailed. Looking forward to it!
Finally getting the chance to check out your playthrough, and I'm liking the game so far and how jam packed with in-game references this cafe has. You can tell the developers want to make sure the players know they understand the franchise better this go around 😅I will say that it doesn't _feel_ like a classic HeR Nancy Drew game, but that era's over. Hopefully Keys is the start of something good!
Finally getting round to your playthrough as only finished the game yesterday! I was busy visiting my baby nephew and before that it was eurovision week so didn't have much free time to play. However, my immediate thought was controls (I opted for WASD) were clunky and I couldn't work out how to look at things etc. I got stuck on numerous puzzles before I figured it out!
Started playing yesterday and was BEYOND surprised with how great it is! I love the modern movement, Easter eggs, characters, graphics, it’s all updated!! So pleasantly surprised!
I have to say the difference between this game and Midnight in Salem is night and day just in its first opening minutes..especially how it runs. I’m already impressed! I can’t wait to buy soon!
@@WizardKittenYT me too I would love to see Nancy try to learn the local Australian Slang like she tried to understand the Cocknie rhyming slang in Blackmoor Manor that would be cool I grew up watching the CROCODILE HUNTER and the show CROC FILES such good shows
Omg this is so exciting watching you play a new nancy drew game for the first time!!! I'm already loving the game it's so much better than mid was! Can't wait to play it through and then watch your walkthrough
I'm waiting for the STEAM release date so until then I will be playing some other Cozy games like Coral Island Disney Dreamlight Valley and Manor Lords I love LORE and a good LEGEND and ghost stories so I know I'm gonna love this game the moment I can get it
I have not finished the game yet but I am loving it so far! I also love your reactions! The book by Bill Kessler is from Legend of the Crystal Skull! I really enjoyed the past games mentions!
@@WizardKittenYT Me too! Just finished watching part one. I love exploration. I've always been the type to explore everything before talking to the characters.
Played for a few hours yesterday, so I'll be watching up until I left off. Definitely a HUGE improvement from MID. I'm trying to stay positive, but right now my only two grievances are character models (I can't get past the poorly textured hair, it looks like some sims 3 custom content lol), and there are some awkward pauses in dialogue. But so far so good. Plus, not like most ND character models were much better years ago, so I'll take it!
Ok. I'm on the part where you solve the journal puzzles. I've gotten the paper from the knight and from the candles. I'm trying to do the clock puzzle inside the cafe, and can't! There's 4 figures but it's only showing me 2 ! When I click on the clock face to get to the figures so I can turn them, it's only showing 2 of the figures. The far most left and right figures don't show up on my screen at all. What do I do ? I need the far right figure to turn to solve the puzzle. I'm gonna be so upset if I got this far just to have it glitch out and I can't finish the game
Okay wait I had NO desire to play this game. I was kind of burnt out on the whole thing tbh. But wait this makes me sort of want to buy and play it. Anyone know if itll run on Mac? (I know it can be bought for Mac but the other Mac downloads I"ve previously bought wouldn't run for me)
@@ryanpepper8188 Yes good call! I should wait too to see how the rest of it goes. But I agree the direction of the voice acting isn't great. I actually like the voice! Just the direction and delivery of the lines is a bit off
After seeing the rollout yesterday, I think this is effectively the end of the series, whether any more games come out or not. It doesn't look like very many people care about the actual game itself any more, only the hoopla surrounding a new rollout, and an excuse for the Clue Crew to get together and celebrate something. The game itself seems unimportant, judging by how many people livestreamed it on opening day. Arglefumph had 350 people watching his, and who knows how many everyone had combined. Anyone watching a game on opening day doesn't care about playing it themselves. Oh, they might eventually boot it up, and give it a run through, but that's not the same as *playing* the game. I actually saw several people get upset yesterday over the very idea that the quality of the game even mattered. Against all that I only saw a handful of people worried about hearing spoilers. I think this is a consequence of the long wait. When the games reliably came out six months apart, people were whetted for the next one by the time it arrived. But now, when the next one comes in 5 years, or never, nobody cares about playing the game any more. Better to just watch someone else play it, have a party, and reminisce about the glory days. I'm starting to think that HER actually had the right idea with MID, they just went too far. A halfway decent game that's fun to watch, and with lots of references to the old series is all they need to do. Yesterday I was planning to play the game, but now I might just do like the Romans. Oh well, in two years, the first 5 Nancy Drew books will be public domain, other people still start doing Nancy Drew games, and then we'll see who does good ones.
I definitely agree that the long waits between release times is a pretty major concern, for a variety of reasons. And I see your argument about the number of people actually purchasing and playing the games. I guess time will tell for HerInteractive, but I can certainly see your arguments!
